An update to Kayn's passive

Live

When you deal an instance of direct damage to an enemy champion, they drop a red/blue orb. When you exit combat, absorb these orbs and gain essence based on the current game time.

You have two essence bars, the most progressed of which is shown on the HUD. When one bar fills, its form will become available and the other will go on a 4 minute CD.

Proposed

At game start, your blue and red form start on a 14 minute CD each.

Instead of filling a bar, gaining essence applies flat reduction to the CD of either your blue or red form.

When one of your form's CD's reaches 0, you gain the ability to take that form in the fountain. If a form is available, further essence into the other form will reduce its CD by half the normal value.

Why though? The way it is now forces you to work to get the form you want, while also giving your opponents the opportunity to build the team against a form they don't want to see you take earlier.

His passive is honestly fine as it is.

Because being forced to avoid ganking certain lanes because "I don't want blue Kayn" just sucks.

"Syndra is over extended" "Yup" "I'm being bullied" "Yup" "Her ult is down and she has no summoners" "Yup" "So you'll gank her?" "Sorry fam she ranged"

Going for essence should always be progressing you towards something, but with the live system it can very easily set you back several minutes if you had to fight somebody who progressed you to the wrong thing.

I don't even care if they change the way it functions, just give us clarity.

I still don't think we have even been given any sort of formula to explain how it actually works. I know that the value of each essence / soul / whatever-you-wanna-call-it increases over time, .. but how much?

And we should have some way of knowing our progress IN THE GAME.
