How does Camille passive respond to a champion who has dealt mostly (or only) true damage?

example scenario:

You are walking up to someone at level 1.

They Ignite you, and then you auto them.

They have dealt 0 magic and 0 physical damage, but they have Ignite ticking for true damage.

What kind of shield does Camille get?

Not likely to come up in a game, but I'm curious.

She picks one. Probably defaulting to physical since most mages even give an ad shield for the very first bit of the game.

Do they? I remember someone from Rito saying that shield will be biased towards magic damage on champions who start with AP, even if they mostly use basic attacks at early levels.

Idk, that's just from my experience. I think it depends on their abilities' base damages compared to their base AD. It'll switch to the best shield when that's the best shield. If that makes sense... O.o

That's false, her sheild is based on an algorithm that looks at how much damage a person has done of the course(minions and monster's included) of the match then at camille's resistances and picks the most optimal shield. In the early game it likely defaults to physical since most people auto attack more than use their spell's until about level 3 so yes if someone basic attacks at all it will be physical.

Well I played a game with a soraka bot (just to test her out) and the shield for soraka was physical.

I'd assume they don't count true damage and it's only magic vs ad

probably the exact same thing that happens if they had dealt zero damage of any kind
