Can we have an option to indicate our intended champs in draft?

As in, allowing us to "pick" champs before its our turn, so that our team can see what's planned. This doesn't stop others from "picking" that champ, it's just for communication.

I want this because, as jungler, I try to balance out the team comp. But when I'm first pick, I have no idea what the comp will need. So I pick a jungler who can't initiate a teamfight, and nobody else will take champs that can initiate either. We never figured out a way to win that one. I pick a squishy jungler, and it's Trynd/Janna as our possible tanks. This isn't a "omg soloqers so dumb" thread because if I was really determined I could figure out what they play, but being able to see what kind of comp is forming would make picking for the team much easier.

Edit: Just picked ganking jungler, next picks were Nasus and Bard. Rito pls add this feature.

I Agree actually. I play HoN for a brief period of time and that was my favorite feature. You could click on a champ you wanted and it would be greyed out next to your name so people saw your preference and if someone else picked it thwn you move.

no way, calling is already toxic enough even though it got significantly better since when people wrote scripts or copy-n-paste to call asap and literally thought that ignoring their call was trolling

pick in order, i dont give a shit of your calls, preferences or w/e

You're viewing it the wrong way. Champ select is a very brief time for communication and cooperation to build a team that will give you the highest chances of winning. Yeah if nobody wants to jungle then last pick will get stuck with jungle whether they like it or not, but I'd prefer last pick saying that they can't jungle instead of waiting until it's their pick and saying "I can't jungle so GG". Obviously pick order gives the right and ability to pick what you want over lower picks, but you're supposed to be a TEAM and should say your best/worst roles so that you don't have anyone on a role that they really can't play. If you go into a game with a selfish attitude, then you're the problem, not the people calling roles.

People usually always think of themselves as better, or rather always trust themselves first. If I main mid but a lower pick calls it, obviously I trust myself more with carrying mid, however do I really want to make the other mid main play something he sucks at? No. I'll give up my main and trust my abilities on alternate roles because that gives my team the best chance of winning.

People really need to realize that this is a team game, too much selfishness is created due to individual ranking.

Yeah exactly. This game has its cretins, which are enough to run a big part of the experience, but a lot of people actually want to communicate and win. And I agree about letting people have their roles. I've seen people go "jungle please" not get it, and try to take Warwick toplane. It almost seems like a new trend, and they never do well.

Communication is a skill. If a team loses a ranked because someone was not able to communicate, then they deserved to lose because they were overall less skilled.

To improve your own communication skills ask them while banning what they are about to pick. If you receive no answer the first sentence applies.
