SoloQ ... should be Solo or Duo

Honestly the only thing I want is for riot to restrict duo to be off hidden MMR values so that no game ever has a mismatches above what MM would make if all accounts where solo. Tiers do not accurately represent an accounts MMR so the fact they are used to make matches upsets me.

Removal of duo fixes this, quality of games goes up and chaos/mismatches goes down. Making duoing off MMR not Tiers fixes some issues, can still be workable system even if its not as reliable and fair as a solo only que.

Solo only would be great. You can't account for how good or bad a duo will be. Sometimes your team gets a terrible duo and the enemy team gets a great one, or vice versa.

I'd rather know everyone is playing on even terms.. only time it would not be the case is if the randoms get on a Discord someone links to. But given that's pretty much the only way, I'd be willing to accept that. Removing duos would be a lot better in general. They can join Flex Queue.

i am for solo only if there is an actual ingame voicechat to communicate with them properly,

otherwise I am for DuoQ, so I dont have to deal with coinflip matchmaking like on Toplane, so "fun" that most of my game was decided of toplane, cuz of autofill or an ego player who builds damage items even he was behind.... which is why I have played toplane myself since my DuoQ Partner could play Mid Xerath only, EVEN I literally do NOT main that role....but somehow I still won my lane on my own most of the time vs "main" toplaners.........which is kinda sad.....

also duoQ in lower Ranked should work like the current high Elo Rank where people can play ONLY together if their Rank got a difference by up to 2 Divisions, e.g.:

D4 can play with P2, P1, D4, D3, D2

so then a G2 should be restricted to:

G2 + G4, G3, G2, G1, P4

but currently low elo players can play with ppl with a difference of 1 WHOLE league which is why the matchmaking can become easily broken, so a G2 player would be able to:

G2 + S2, S1, G4, G3, G2, G1, P4, P3, P2

that is why DuoQ feels really broken in low elo while in higher elo not so, especially when smurfs abuse this system more effectively than others

They tried making it solo only one time. People absolutely lost their shit.

Ya when the solo/duo q idea was invented there was no flex queue to grind up with friends. It makes alot more sense now that we have flex that we no longer need duo q. I really can't think of any valid reason to keep duo q other than preference for people who've always duo q'd, and are questionable in their abilities to solo carry.

Considering this topic was made 3 hours ago and such a big surge of votes happened all at once, I'd say something fishy may have happened.

Maybe the boosters making money off of duos being a thing got mad?
