At Wits End with your random item changes

Enjoyed the pun? I'm glad. I like the Magic Resist Stealing Wits End way more than this new thing. Even on WW (infact it's a priority option in my WW build).

Wits was well designed. It had a sustained fighting thematic which encourages a magic dmg auto attack bruiser playstyle that was about increasing sustained dps and tankability over the course of a duel/skirmish or fight. The MR shred meant that your magic dmg from your kit had increased dmg value and if you could vamp from them then the increased dmg value rolled over into increased health. Which is perfect on WW and bruiser builds of Elise etc.

Now it's just WW passive. No inherent power multiplier, no synergy outside AS, just onhit dmg and onhit healing (below hp threshold to keep it an item u want on sustain dps bruisers than glass cannons who'll be 1 shot at half hp) On WW Stand-alone at lvl 18: New wits and his own passive together should do more dmg and healing than his old passive and current Wits. But if i consider the 30 MR pen equivalence and also consider his Q and his ultimate things get interesting and much closer. BUT when i add in the potential 30 MR pen benefit for his allies..., this new wits seems to be moving away from an incredible but severely underrated item to one which will be more noticeable and more solo-queue oriented.

Sooo..., I like the Magic Resist Stealing Wits End way more than this new thing. Even on WW (infact it's a priority option in my WW build).

i would probably pick it up when the one shot meta crap gets toned down which means never.

Agreed. It was an item I'd build on Kai'sa just so I can save myself from a ton of magic damage and still upgrade E.

Don't bother. Riot doesn't give a Twitch ass what it's own community wants OR needs

i like this tbh.

This doesn't seem to change a damn thing for WW, the LS he loses due to the MR shred removal he gets back with the new passive. Maybe for ap WW but honestly i would never build wit's end on AP WW.

What this Does do is make both you and your enemy live longer as you get HP back and they don't lose MR meaning fights where the item is used will last longer. something the game could use now.

This is one of those situations where they should keep the old version and bring in the new version too IMO.

New wits end is more of a adc item, it can literally replace any life steal itemization when you need mr. It's probably broken on Kayle and Jax right now imo. I think old wits end should've been put on Nashor's a long time ago tbh.

I think it was pointless given the burst meta is still on, and its not going to fade unless DIRECTLY nerfed.

I don't like the old one, but I don't like the new change. I think they can come up with something better

What I can't figure out is why it doesn't just deal 4% of the target's max HP as magic damage. The damage scaling would be about the same without being so flabby early game.

Oh look suddenly the item nobody cared for nor built suddenly has a bunch of people supporting it and allegedly building... where have I seen this before
