Example: Jinx: OP but not broken Poppy: Broken but not OP

Kazaashi4 votesI don't main Riven and she is balanced. You just have to pick against her or not give her early kills. Riven is like LB. They are really good at getting early kills and snowballing, but if that doesn't happen, they have a hard time coming back.

so in order to beat riven u have to pick somebody that can run away from her faster than she can jump to you and then wait for you team to come top to 5v1 her. IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW!

I pick Kennen and do quite well in lane. Since she has to be on top of me to do anything, she gets chain stunned and dies. Her dash is just a hair faster than if she just walked the distance with T2 boots.
Anyone with good poke and sustain will do well against Riven, provided you don't let her jump on you all the time.

She's basically a non-factor late game. She doesn't dive hard enough to not get blown up before getting to the back line and there are other champs who can out split push her. Her early-mid game are strong, but the longer past laning phase it goes the less dangerous Riven is.

GloriousKaiser1 votesHer hit is very frontloaded(not overloaded) so the odds are probably that she can unload her combo onto you easily. If you can find a way to play around her initial strikes, you can turn fights around.
Statwise, just build armor. 1 damage types works against itself too sometimes.
