Can we remove Jungle Leashes?

GigglesO··6 votes·1,284 views

Too many junglers get really hurt that their team either doesn't help them, or that they "need a leash". Can we just make it so jungle spawns later, but is slightly easier to take.

You can't "remove them". Like shit it's not a big deal lol, just leash and walk to lane. You shouldn't miss any cs.

Spawning later would put junglers behind the curve xp/gold wise, and slightly easier to take would just result in teams leashing anyway and the junglers being even stronger than normal.

Jungle leashes aren't really something designed in, but rather a strategy the community quickly developed.

then they should revert the changes to gromp and krugs spawntime, because now I sometimes am a bit to late in lane

Anomander1 votes

Then you are leashing too long.

Silverjust1 votes

what I dont understand is, why did they change the spawntimes?

So that laners couldn't do the camps and come to lane with a lvl 2 advantage and snowball from there.

First off, not a single jungler actually needs a leash. If I mess a bit with runes and masteries I can even solo clear with Soraka.

Every Jungler needs to learn how to do that, because in higher elo there are invades and stuff and the laners may not have any time left for a leash.

not getting a leash slows you significantly

100% the point of my post. It also isn't that I don't want to help my team, its that I don't want a moaning jungler that if botlane wants to try and pull a season 1 death kill in botlane, and thats where the jungler starts, he isn't salty all game that he didn't get a leash.

By removing allowing teammates to leash it would create a happier game overall.

I wouldn't want that, as a support I like to give a double leash for quick level three and early gank.

Don't leash the jungler, then don't ask for ganks. Sounds fair to me. Boy it REALLY PISSES my laners off I won't gank and they ask for reports, but when I want a leash they tell me it isn't their job. Okay sure buddy my job ain't to win your lane for you either.

Actually I ask my jungler not to come to my lane, they take cs and don't do anything to earn them that cs more often than they do.

it is not even a pull/leash anymore it's what was called hard leash back then

leashing used to be a single auto attack so the buff began to follow you while the jungler hit it for free for several seconds, then they changed their behavior...

Yea, I remember, and this has nothing to do with what I'm talking about with current leashes.

I've been jungling for years without a leash. You already don't need one.

If you think you do it's because you are bad at jungling.

Anomander2 votes

What exactly do you lose by leashing?

yeulx1 votes

Nah giggles its not that big of a deal i mean yeah we have to miss like 2 secconds of lane not pushing it Mostly only botlane and maby top if they are starting blue but generally the jungle should be worked bottom up

It isn't about that, its about the attitude of most junglers, "leash or I troll you". My post was about trying to remove that interaction so that it creates a better player experience.

You refuse to give your jungler a leash and expect them to help you win the game. Fuck you.

You are the perfect example of why I want them to remove the ability to leash for your jungler.

Its about the attitude of the community, going for an early fb strat, that leaves your jungler without a leash, is not "reusing to leash". I'm not just complaining about it from my team's perspective, I see it on the other team too. The real issue with the community is an attitude issue, which forcing a lane to lose minions or help damage a jungle monster could help shift some attitudes in the community.

That way junglers wouldn't see leashing as something laners are obligated to do, and it could open up laners into early fighting again, while leaving junglers safer from invades.

I just said that? Your opinion is clearly the right one.

How about you post on your main account, instead of your level 20, sounds like you want anyone to know who you actually are.

Why are you being so hostile and obstinate with someone in agreement with you? I'm sorry for whatever happened to you but taking it out on me isn't really gonna resolve any of your personal issues.

It didn't sound at all like you were in agreement with removing jungle leashes. I just think what you said pointed out really well why it may be a good idea to remove them. There would be no expectations for junglers or laners to interact in any way so it wouldn't feel bad for junglers that didn't get a leash, and it wouldn't feel bad for laners that did leash, and then the jungler never ganked for. Both situations just lead to alot of hatred, and I saw that "didn't leash and you want to win" quote as being the best example.

I'm not 100% saying we should removing them, I was just trying to pose a question to see how the community felt about it since riot does actually listen to the community, and if enough people felt that salty junglers or laners were an issue it could remove the point of saltyness.

You refuse to give your jungler a leash and expect them to help you win the game. Fuck you.

The other part that makes me laugh about this, is the jungler also wins or loses the game. It sounds like you are trying to punish yourself, at the same time you are trying to punish your ally. It really doesn't benefit the jungler to not help his teammates even if he didn't get a leash. Which again removing leashes would remove this animosity.

I'll pray for you

if the jungler heals while clearing im not leashing them.

this is coming from someone who use to spam elise everyday

Dynamiku Entry1 votes

No leash no gank. When you lose lane cuz enemy ganked you 5 times and you bitch in all chat. Remember you didn't leash.

VoidStaresBack1 votes

Leashing is a strategy, not a thing that Riot can remove. Damaging a camp to help your jungler clear it faster will always be a thing unless jungle camps are changed so they can only be damaged by one person, because it gets your jungler off to a quicker start.
