PSA Jungle Camps Are A Jungler's CS

Doaenel··6 votes·952 views

As a jungle main, nothing aggravates me more than either someone taking a buff without permission or someone clearing a camp. First off, the jungler doesn't just come in your lane randomly when all camps are cleared just to steal a wave from you, so why is it that you steal a jungle camp when the wave is cleared? Please guys, show some respect. The camps and the buffs are a jungler's to give or take, he's the king of the jungle quite literally.

Just had to rant b/c I'm sick of getting camps stolen so I miss out on XP and gold :/

Um, sorry, if you're all the way on the other side of the map and I'm like 80 gold away from an item before I'm about to back, I'm taking your Krugs. Like, they're mine. Sorry.

Alright, when have you ever seen a jungler who's 200 gold behind an item just walk into your lane and clear your wave? not even gank, just clear a wave? Don't be an asshole bro

Above statement is completely false.

Alright, when have you ever seen a jungler who's 200 gold behind an item just walk into your lane and clear your wave?

Like, three to four times every game, and they don't even bother to reset it.

hate to be the one to break the news to you.

but the camps aren't yours, they are the teams. you are allowed to take all of the camps as you see fit as a source of gold.

you have to rationalize why hes taking it (he needs gold) vs you taking it (you need gold and exp).

you are not the carry, he is.

if you think you are the carry then kindly communicate that over to your team mate and say i plan on taking it very soon.

its the teams gold, if you are the one who is going to carry the team on your back do all the damage and you need more exp and gold to do it then tell it to your team and they should understand.

but from history, we can see the jungler is usually 3rd on the damage spectrum.

you are wrong to think its "your" jungle. all the time.

first off, its painfully obvious you dont jungle, and secondly, how would you like it if someone went in your lane and stole all the farm from you when youre behind, because its by all means not YOUR lane, its the TEAMS lane, and youre not the carry, they are.

i get taxed all the time when you fail your gank, i deal with it. please just stop raging about your 1 bad game where this was an issue which should've been prevented by your communication.

i would share my lane gold and exp if it meant a better chance at winning. but it doesn't. its proven that laners with more gold and exp do better than a jungler with lots of gold and exp.

what actually wins games is 1 person snowballing and 1 person on the enemy team super behind. preferably the mid laner, but anyone can make it work.

you aren't as important as you think you are. im a mid/jungle, i would know. i can take all the kills as a jungle, cover multiple waves and will still be behind in gold and exp from when i was a mid laner doing the exact same thing. its just how gold works.

you have about 3/5ths gold compared to what a laner has, you missing some or gaining a little more isn't a big deal. you are majorly supposed to function off of levels and placement/player number advantage. otherwise you would be in your own lane because lanes naturally give more exp and gold

what you are really experiencing is bad team mates, and losses at champion select.

i would love it if you showed me 10 screen shots of "damage dealt to champions" where you are ahead of everyone else and how important it is for you to have all the gold in the world and not your laners.

I can exaggerate too, jungler comes into my lane to fail a gank, like usual, and then smites* my cannon and walks away through an enemy pink ward.

Aw yisssss and than they refuse to take a drake with botlane coz "no smite can't".

But why would you call it an exaggeration, I don't get.

I'm okay with never taking a jungle camp again if the jungler never takes a single minion the whole entire game. Good luck getting literally 95% of the jungle champions to agree with you on that especially the Yis, Shyvannas, Jaxs, and Udyrs of this world.

The camps and the buffs are a jungler's to give or take

Because...? In solo queue blue buff is almost always better utilized by any mana using laner, and if you happen to be farming jungler new red is better used by literally everyone including a support.

No, seriously, guys, TAKE MY CAMPS. Not my buffs, not without asking, but take my krugs when your lane is pushed up so you can't farm safely and Im not even around. Mid lane, take my little raptors...pretty much whenever, after the first 10 minutes. If I'm out ganking a lane and you're pushed up to your turret because that's where the farm is I would so much rather you be farming a camp in my jungle, increasing its gold and XP for when Im actually around to farm it, than you get ganked because you were too afraid to take my shit. Seriously, any time I'm not around and you think "it would be worth it for me to take krugs/raptors/gromp (I don't include wolves here because they're not really worth your time given their lack of proximity to your lane, but by all means if you're in the neighborhood...)" then just fucking do it. I don't care.

I take everything if I am close to it

I hate when I am behind and the ADC starts farming my jungle. It has cost me a lot of games.

I generally don't take camps early/during the laning phase unless the jg tells me I can or I ask first, but late game when nobody is laning anymore I sometimes take one without asking if I'm behind or about to lvl up or something

I consider every blue buff after the second to be the mid laners property if he uses mana and has AP.

Relevent:

Wrong thought process and a low level player mindset:

Right thought process and a skilled player mindset:

You will notice it is the same player and that this player learned after the first post, changed his mindset, and adopted a more intelligent and capable one. You should have a read.

I don't take lane minions or tax until 1 tower is down.

I expect the same from laners to not take camps until that time as well.

If you take a camp, congratulations, your CS is now the jungle and mine is your lane. You own it.

Linna Excel1 votes

As a jungler and watching high-elo junglers on youtube, there are times it is perfectly fine to take a single camp.

PS, if someone stealing your jungle camps upsets you, try counter jungling more.
