How do the rankings work (S,A,B, etc)

I just got an S on master Yi for going 9/5/4 and I didn't do anything spectacular the whole game (no penta kill, no baron or drake solo) I've went 20/3/7 on other characters and have not got an S. I am very confused by the rankings

it's not just kda, stuff like cs also factors in (cs is usually one of the big reasons people lose out on an easy s)

it's also relative how people perform with that champion and role; if people usually did well with champion X, then the standard for an S on the champion would probably be higher
