How to beat Lux in mid?
I get out ranged by her low cooldown high damage aoe attack

Shove her in. She has a hard time CSing under turret and her spells cost a lot of mana. If you shove her in, she has to choose between using her E on you or the wave (stand off the wave toward the side you warded).
Q can be dodged consistently once you get used to the travel speed. Just be aware though that she might do a Flash + Snare attack if you are poked down.
For E, you try to dodge but if you are hit, step back and don't get auto-ed. Without procing Thunderlords, E by itself doesn't do enough damage to justify the high mana costs. Make her burn her mana. Then go on the offense.
Also, whenever you are moving to attack her, don't move in a straight line or at the very least, anticipate a defensive snare fired straight at you.
but she's one those champions that even if you destroy in lane, if your team doesn't know how to avoid her snares... she's still going to get fed later.
She is anything but low cooldown.
The second she uses a spell and doesn't hit you with it, jump on her and smack her.
If you're confident, dance just outside your attack radius and keep pretending to go in on her, and when she finally snares, dodge it and she's yours.
Pick fizz
pick ezreal, he hard counters her if you really wanna make lux cry run cleanse. anytime she goes to proc that passive of her if she lands snare just cleanse it E out of the combo an kill her with W Q. ap ezreal dominates lux hard.
As a Lux main, it hurts to be pushed under tower, as she has to use spells to get all the farm under tower. Also, her Q and E have very long cooldowns for a midlaner, so if she misses, you can go for a trade that you will win easily. Taking Barrier helps to deny her kills, since her combo is barely enough to kill until she gets about 2 or 3 items. Lux has extremely long range, but she is really vulnerable if you get close, so champs like Fizz and Zed are really good against her, especially Fizz.
