Lost 20 lp for a 4 vs 5 since 6 minutes in...this is stupid Riot

Why do we lose points for a unfair game like this? clearly the team with an afk is going to lose most of the time so why do we get punished and lose points as if it was a fair 5v5 game? It just seems stupid.

Idk where i heard this or if its true but theres a system where you can leave the game if you have an afk within the first 5 minutes with no punishment
