Mage mains are ruining this game

They literaly QQ and get everything that performs well against them while mages almost never receive nerfs, and when they do, they're slaps on the wrist (Xerarth) or they get buffed back immediately (Azir) when riot will hilariously leave any other champion from a different class to die when they're in a spot like Azir's was pre buff.

Assassins, AD Casters and even bruisers (when mages feel like oppressing top lane) get nerfed when they manage to beat mages. I mean look at fucking Ryze, riot is literally going to allow him to keep his perma snare and absurd bullying power in top lane. Be real, if this was any other class, it'd be gutted instantly.

Mages are ruining this game and their player base pretends that mages are somehow the pinnacle of balance when they're usually the most broken fucking things. Yeah, btw, great idea on those lux E buffs - they were totally unnecessary. Mage bias. But back to my point, this is how mage mains are:

When something that isn't a mage is good mid lane like an ad caster or assassin (Yasuo, Zed), mage mains lose their shit and complain about how it's unfair that these champions are good against their entire class. But mr mage main, if you pick a bruiser vs zed or yas, it's auto win. Mage main proceeds to cry about how it's unfair that 1-2 champions can eliminate the viability of an entire class (which isn't true in the first place). But when Ryze or Kayle or any other bullshit mage goes top, literally deletes melee champions from the game and fighter mains complain about it, the mage mains just say "hey pick a mage that outranges them!" In response, fighter mains say "hey that's not fair, they are making an entire class unviable." Mage response: "lol cry baby bruiser."

It's funny because they're the most toxic champion mains as well. In a recent study, it was show that 72% of the toxic player base in this game are mage mains. They are ruining this game in more ways than one. Oh boy that's why they need a complete itemization overhaul for the 2nd time in 3 seasons because they had too many good items that were must build. Must be nice to have items, meanwhile fighters. I'll stop there, mage mains will tell me frozen mallet is the best item in the game.

So to close this out, mage mains are ruining this game and it must stop. Stop it now riot. Stop it now.

More to the point though: Ryze is being changed, his snare is weaker late and he's forced to max q first because of his passive. The problem with Yasuo or zed invalidating mages mid is that neither needs mana and when they're strong they do everything mages do, only better and without mana management, and with consistent damage outside of CDs. They both scale well in to late game, meaning that (again, when they're strong), they don't have a period of weakness against mages. You can't change your pick once you see a zed/Yasuo, so saying to pick a bruiser against them is just wrong. Even if it wasn't though, your team is short burst damage if you do, so if they play passively and you don't win Lane hard you'll probably lose the game due to having a worse team comp.

The first half of that argument applies to top as well - it doesn't make sense to allow any champion to invalidate a class of Champions because what if they're picked after you're locked in? This also applies to darius against melee top (when he's strong). The second half is the dead opposite though - if they pick a mage top against your traditionally tanky top, if you somehow manage to survive until the late game your team will win by virtue of team comp being better. It doesn't present the same problem - your laning phase is going to suck and you're going to have a miserable time playing that game, but if you refuse to feed them in Lane you actually have a huge advantage and their mage pick will cause them to lose. Of course, if you DO feed them, as almost everyone in solo queue does because they refuse to alter their playstyle to the circumstances at all, you'll lose easily. There's a reason that very few mages see competitive play top, and when they do it isn't for prolonged periods of time.

And typical mage main argument, yeah zed and Yasuo are definitely aoe 100-0ing teams while providing spammable CC, Shields, Resists, MS buffs, etc.

I'm not a mage main. If you look at my summoners rift match history you'll probably see about 15-20% of my games as ahri (a mage), but 30-35% as jinx, 35-45% as hecarim, and the rest as other such as Leona.

The rest of my argument stands.

Again, if you looked at the match history, you'd notice i started using ahri as my mid main LONG before her rework (she's the only champion I've ever mained mid). Same goes for hecarim (he was bottom Tier when i started maining him jungle). I only switched from caitlyn adc to jinx because i was sick of the sivir counterpick when she became popular.

Pretty sure this post in itself is biased. "oh but 70-ish percent of the player base of toxic people are mages lets nerf them because fuck vayne mains" I'm a bruiser main and I don't give a shit about mages. Except maybe Azir. He's kinda fucked up... hate that shield mun. At least give me killable soldiers. :c

League has more mr itemization that a bunch of other mobas.

You can still build around 200 mr easily, and you don't need as much mr as armor because nearly every team will deal more physical damage than magical damage anyways since mages don't deal sustained damage and by virtue of having around 2 magic damage dealers tops.
