Autofill Is Terrible, Here Is Why:
Just gotta do this from time to time I guess, because it's the only way to blow off some of the steamy, steamy hatred that I build up over time regarding this worst part of League.
Common experiences include:
- Get queued for the lane you want five times in a row
- Other people dodge five times in a row
- Get autofilled
- Play game in lane you didn't want to play with character you didn't want to play.
Also fun:
- Get autofilled for the one position you really suck at
- No one wants to trade, so dodge
- Get autofilled for same shitty position, rinse and repeat
And then my favorite:
- Get autofilled to position you suck at and no one wants to trade
- Decide to be a good sport and play it anyway
- Do terribly because you're playing at way too high an ELO for your skill in that position
- Get flamed and blamed when your team loses
And then sometimes you're not the one to get autofilled. Hooray, right? NOPE:
- Get lane you want
- Teammate gets autofilled to lane they suck at
- Feeds or ragequits, lose game anyway
- Probably get autofilled next game because you're not autofill protected anymore
OR:
- Get lane you want
- Enemy gets autofilled to lane they suck at
- Feeds or ragequits, have piss-easy game that is boring
- Probably get autofilled next game because you're not autofill protected anymore
FINAL SCORE: Hours wasted on unsatisfying games and queue dodges: Uncountable Saltiness: Maximum
Seriously, this is the shittiest system League has. It makes the game worse no matter who is affected by it - you, your teammates, even the enemy team. I have literally spent thirty minutes re-queuing for games because other people were dodging autofills. How the fluttering fuck is this better than chilling with a youtube video for fifteen-twenty minutes and then getting into a game where you (and everyone else) get to play the roles they/you actually enjoy?? Can anyone please explain to me what possible net benefit this has?
