Jungle changes aren't bad. What is all the fuss about?
I just played a game where I was aiming to route Red, chickens, wolves, Gromp, Blue, Scuttle(if it's not taken) and then invade. After clearing wolves, I discovered my Blue and Gromp and Scuttle were taken. I invaded for enemy Krugs and only managed to get the small one and its descendents. I backed, bought and went to my Krugs to start my route again only to be met with an invade.
Long story short, I was completely oppressed by the enemy jungler for the entirety of the early and mid game. After we won the match, I was surprised to find that I was the highest level in the match, most CS in the match, highest KDA and of course, the most gold.
The reason I point this out is that I felt, as if I'd never be able to get back into the game, especially as I read these boards quite a bit and everyone says that once you fall behind in this new jungle and don't contest scuttles, it's gg. Hell, if we could have surrendered at 10 minutes I would have in a heartbeat. But not only did I get back into the game, I dominated it. If these jungle changes are so "end of the world" bad as everyone is making it out to be, then this shouldn't have been possible. Did I mention that my team wasn't doing so hot? Granted they weren't hardcore feeders but they kinda fed a bit. I should also mention that I only got like 2 scuttles that entire game and that was very late in the game after I got strong. Didn't even really need them at that point.
This single match has convinced me that everyone is losing their shit over nothing. The jungle is fine.
and mid and top will be taking the moment to put ward coverage out early to properly react to the invade when its a clear early game jungle vs one who struggles in duels.
