Why Are So Many People Complaining About Mana...
So Riot won't let you build to become a resourceless champion now, end of the world?? Mana is actually doing its job gating the power of ridiculous poke champions now, is that a bad thing?

Assassins are dominating because poke can't get them to a point where it's a risk to dive
Because when you nerf mana regen all around, but don't balance out the other champs that don't use mana, you break it.
Champions like Zed, Akali, Fizz, Kat already dominated mages before the mana regen nerf.. but now they're practically unstoppable. The only viable mid lane mage at this point is Azir.
It's not that mana gating is a problem. It removed a toxic playstyle that revolved around permanent waveclear, which is good.
The problem is that it nerfed almost every single AP mage to a point where their powerspike is heavily delayed or irrelevant compared to that of a resourceless champion.
Champions were buffed and nerfed around the items that offered significant mana regeneration, nerfing those items destroyed that balance.
The mana regeneration items were relatively cheap compared to other AP items, so it was an easily obtainable stat in the early/mid game making abilities spammable meaning their early/mid game would be extremely strong if Riot hadn't limited/nerfed the early/mid game on AP champions their abilities. (not only base damage/ratio's but also how easily the abilities are possible to hit and the ability cooldowns) Because they're not compensated, their early and mid game has become worse or for some just plain terrible.
Funny how you have the Assassin icon :^)
I'm not saying mages should never have to worry about mana, but if mages can't use their spells early game why should things like Zed get to use their spells freely and have great laning.
I could get
, but then Zed gets
and now I don't do any damage.
I could try to poke him down, or push the wave to his tower, but wait, his passive pretty much guarantees him last hits.
Right now there is no trade-off to being Energy-based or Resource-less, while Mana users are having a much harder time than before.
I dunno, like all the people are assuming that mages are designed to be on equal grounds with someone like a Zed from lvl 1 to lvl 18...Zed's supposed to have and edge in lane...he's supposed to be a strong laner.
Yea, I'm done with this bs, these people are asking for Tryndamere to be on par with Jax in lane. Please google the word "counter". Please understand that you are supposed to be at a disadvantage because assassins counter mages and ADCs...
