DJ Sona is confusing

I played against a DJ Sona for the first time last night.

I couldn't figure out what stance she was in the whole time.

I guess her green one is what she attacks with. when I see green i instantly think "healing"

Her red one is the healing one? When I see red i instantly think "attack"

Her blueish purple one is the movespeed one I guess.

The movespeed one is fine because Default sona's movespeed is color is purple

Red for healing? Green for attacking?

I could be completely wrong about all these colors. It confuses the shit out of me that I actually have to look a skin up and read about it just so I know what abilities the champion is using.

Orange and claws? Thats tiger!

Green with scales? Turtle!

Blue with large paws? Bear!

Large firey bird wings? Phoenix!

It even shows the animal head popup when he swaps

I know I could study her and watch her abilities. But I feel that I shouldn't have to study someone's shifting appearence just to understand the skin. Most of the time, I dont have the time to memorize the looks of her 3 stances.

I know it is probably dumb of me to be bothered by this, but it is distracting for me.

Her stances are related to what song she is playing for her team, not her aura's. Each stance will show the aura's in the standard colors regardless.

Really? I would see her in red stance. No aura underneath her. I sat there and tried to find it but I couldn't.

The aura's aren't permanent anymore, so they will fade after like 2 seconds. Otherwise, you can tell which power chord is up by the color the of the "power circle" around her. If one is up.

As you can see (hopefully) Stances they can manually choose, the aura colors are still the same.

yeah because she didn't have an active aura going on. Had she pressed Q,W, or E there would be a circle around her DJ set that would be either blue, green, or purple. The color of her DJ set has nothing to do with anything.

just remember when she is red that means RUN because her red form is when she has quadruple damage activated, green is all in her because she has 0 mobility and hp at this time and blue is just her lowering her cds for red form

what are you talking about? Ok, so each "form" of Sona(red one, blue-purple one, and green-blue one) plays a different genre of music. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HER ABILITIES. Her Q is blue, so no matter when she uses it, a BLUE aura will appear around her(aura is shown in a small circle around the DJ set Sona is playing). Her W, NO MATTER HER FORM, will always be a green ability, showing a green circle around her. her E, no matter what genre of music she is playing, no matter her form, no matter what her DJ set looks like, will ALWAYS BE PURPLE. Her ultimate will always be yellow, no matter what form she is in.

I repeat, her "FORM" has NOTHING to do with her "attacking, healing, speeding up, and stunning". Her "stances(form)" is what the skin is about, she has 3 forms, they just plays different music for her team and looks different with different particles to the abilities, HOWEVER THE COLORS OF HER ABILITIES STAY THE SAME SO YOU DON'T GET CONFUSED.

Thank you guys, I understand now. I forgot that they removed her constant aura because I rarely seen her played much after the updates.

The changing model confused me because I instinctively thought that it meant something.
