how will riot prevent smurfs in clash? also would this be legal? I am thinking about moving a smurf account i have to EUW just because I work nights and play in the mornings and since EUW is 7 hrs ahead of me it would allow me to play at peak hours in EUW during times the times i can play (since nothing is going to happen at 8 AM team wise here in NA). I really would prefer to not move my main to EUW so i can still lplay with friends. If i leveled up the smurf to close to the same MMR/elo would i be able to use it in EUW. I know its kinda a weird question. I read post saying stuff like they may tie it in to your ranked que by phone# or something and i wouldnt want to be excluded from ranked on my main b/c i registered for clash on a "smurf".

Just trying to figure it out before i spend RP on a region transfer.

One more thing: We know smurfing can be a big concern for a competitive mode like this, so we’ve got some new systems in the works to counter them. We’ll talk more about those in early 2018.

For whatever it's worth, there's an option in the PBE client for phone number verification, and I think the expectation is that players participating in clash will need to verify their phone to make smurfing a bit harder.
