Any tips on overcoming Executioner's calling with Mundo?

Yesterday I played a game vs a jayce who rushed Executioner's calling as mundo. It was tilting to say the least to see your R basically reduced to a glorified health potion. What would you guys think if there were an item that would remove grievous wounds? It may just be me but it feels like hp regin(esp mundo who relies on the regin so much) champs struggle with the prevalence of grievous wounds (morello being a staple in most mid lane builds and Ex calling being as cheap as it is)

You can try QSS. I don't know if still removes grievous wounds.

There's only two ways to overcome a counter like this; deal enough damage that it doesn't matter, or use teamwork. Seeing as how Jayce can just kite you if you go ham on him all the time you're going to have to get your team involved. If they can't help for some reason your only job is to survive in lane as long as possible, get experience and farm with Q, and provide just enough pressure that Jayce can't roam without losing his tower.

The laning phase is just one stage of the game after all, and so long as you don't fall behind you'll be prepared for the later stages.

Dont pick mundo into AD comps, especially AD lanes. Period.

Executioners is the reason Mundo and Aatrox, possibly even Swain don't see very much play. It's so dumb to have a 800g item that severely reduces the strength of a champion. They need to just make his ult unaffected by GW, or make GW only apply to healing from items rather than any healing.

This is actually very easy.

Just pop your ult to run away from anyone that has healing reduction.

it's not like any tank/mage/ or AD champion can build grevious wounds now
