Need a top champion

Looking for advice on a new top laner. My playstyle is passive during the 1st 20 min or so and I like to ply sling champs thwt can emerge and be a serious threat.

I am a GP and velkoz mid main, but I have really been struggling with dives and getting zones top lane since I've reached plat.

I was looking for someone who isn't necessialary great early but doesn't get pushed around eit her like gp vs some matchups. Ideally I like teamfight champs thst dish out a lot of dmg during teamfights ( like gp and velkoz)

Any suggestions?
