Why Support is the most devastating role

Support is the most unfair feeling role in the entire game. Why? Well, I just went 0-3 because of bad teammates in all 3. What does Janna or Karma do when the top and mid are feeding, jungler doesn't know what to do, and the adc thinks face tanking a fed carry is a good idea. Not to mention the fact that in game 2, the top lane jax decided he wanted to TP bot and walk into the turret because our Kha was busy playing correctly. I main support, I know how impactful they can be. The problem is that support feels so unrewarding and is the first role to feel utterly hopeless in a game. It's so bad that it is truthfully pure a toss of the dice if I get a bad team or not. Good team - win. Bad team - lose (usually). Playing support, a main role in the game, shouldn't leave players feeling they should queue for 2 carry roles to ensure at least one lane doesn't get stomped.

To be fair, this is partial venting for getting Silver 5 level teams in Platinum games for no good reason, but the grievances are legitimate. Does anyone else have Support woe stories where they know there's nothing they can do and they can't go make an MLG big play because, well, you're playing Karma. Or Janna. Or some other absolutely amazing character, IF the team isn't garbage. If the team is that bad, you're stuck sitting in the back waiting for that sweet, sweet release form the game when the nexus finally dies and can only hope the intentional feeders get a perma ban.

Except Karma is a playmaker and Janna using her ult at the right time can change a teamfight. The only support i've ever felt at the full mercy of my team has been Soraka. Healing deadweight allies sometimes just is not enough.

Honestly this happens in all roles not just support. The old adage win lane, lose game happens a lot more than any of us like to admit. You just have to keep trying and work on improving what you can do while hoping for a team that works well together.

I wouldn't support until seriously silver 3 ish.

They're platinum 5...

I went support one time because i wanted to take a break from adc and i have knowledge in supporting. Fuck that shit never again, the pure amount of incompetency that was in my adc tilted the fuck out of me from just watching him. THE SUPPORT WASN'T EVEN THERE YET AND MY ADC WAS CAIT AND GOT PUSHED IN, HOW, WHY, AND HIS BUILD PATH MADE ME WANT TO KILL MYSELF.

Then you need to ward more. Seriously ward, ping and roam. I wouldn't support until seriously silver 3 ish. Till then you will win more by playing mid or adc so you can carry. Not saying you can't win as support but it's easier because you will get more gold. But vision in itself will carry from the decisions that you can make off of it. Moreover peeling and good picks will win most teamfighting so buck up and keep a positive attitude that will help more than anything

You can carry on support. Just as much as any other role. If you're doing poorly on support. It's NOT your teams fault. It's most likely that you picked the wrong type of support for them, missing combo's or aren't using the champion correctly.
