Ignite or Exhaust on Thresh Support?

Pros and Cons? I always thought exhaust was more beneficial in lower ranks, but I see a lot of better Thresh players run ignite for the kill lane.

Ex in solo que. thresh already has some decent damage with 2 cc's. If he hits his q, ex, flay. You already gave your adc 5 seconds to do free damage to the support or adc esp when you sheild both of you from the sup damage.

It really depends on the matchup and personal preference.

i always run exhaust, mainly because your job is to get someone else fed and the 40 percent damage reduction on exhaust is too op. Yeah if your adc sucks and cant kill secure you will probably be kicking yourself but unless your going adc thresh i would recommend exhaust.

In most cases, Exhaust is more useful then Ignite, at least in terms of protecting your teammates. The only time you should take Ignite over Exhaust is if they have a strong regen champion like Maokai Vladimir and no one else on your team took it or if you are playing with a very snowbally ADC like Draven . The ignite can mean the difference to him getting the kills early game to let him roflstomp or to your team losing.

Besides these, I say you might as well pick whichever you personally like. I liked summoner 14 for awhile on Thresh because it gave me the ability to 1v1 to some degree in situations. It also helped me snowball my lane since most people don't take into account the ignite damage.

Exhaust if they have heavy engage/assassins. Ignite otherwise because most of the time allies don't take advantage of the exhaust. Also in fights on bot i always throw the ignite early to burn a flash or to counter their heal. Soloqueue is all about snowballing early kills and ignite is better for that.
