Can you play only support to D1?

Im trying to play thresh only (mostly) and my goal is to hit diamond 5. I cant seem to get out of gold atm. It seems even if i stomp my lane and I help stomp mid we still lose and it feels like im flipping a coin. I try to spam ping objectives and push push push. What can I do to improve my winrate and get into d5?

I was placed in s3 in my fresh account and am now sitting in g3. I feel stuck right now. Probably played 30+ games in g3 and I only made promos once. :( Any diamond thresh support mains got some tips?

the distance between gold and d5 is almost equal to the distance between b5 and gold. b5 is 800 MMR, gold 5 is 1500, d5 is 2100 mmr.

So you have to improve by an amount equal to a b5 getting to gold.

That means you must drop all your ego and recognize that to the elo you want to belong to, you are essentially b5. Admitting that you are bad is the 1st step to becoming good.
