Can we not just get pre-rework Fizz back?

We went from moderate burst + decent sustained damage to finish off targets, to one-shotting them after a delayed amount of time, back to dealing moderate burst + decent sustained damage. However, for the first time since (I think) Season 4 (when part of the % Damage Amp from DFG was put onto Fizz R and Ahri's E) Fizz's ultimate has NO PASSIVE - zero interaction with the rest of his kit.

Which makes me wonder, why did Riot revert Fizz to his old playstyle and not give him back the tools he used to have to EXCEL at that playstyle?

He's just a worse pre-rework Fizz now.

Anecdotally, his W DoT doesn't apply spell effects (i.e. Liandry's and Rylai's) like it did pre-rework.

your also forgetting the fact his newer e is literally shit because of when u get the untargetability or when 90% of the time u cant even jump a wall with the first cast of e mained fizz from season 5-7 quite a bit along with other champs but his rework ruined him hes a MELEE ASSASSIN and he gets less damage from his ULTIMATE ABILITY based on that your closer to them so u HAVE to land it max range or mid range for it to be even close to relevant damage how is this ok? i have a whole fucking stupid list of this character i loved until riot made him "easier to play around" there bs excuse abou his bleed to put the trident over his head was "it used to be seen as players as invisible damage" but now they remove fizz w passive from his ult and the mark? cmon riot after 1 season fizz having "invisible damage" is ok now? this is such a shit company

I'd really like to see his R go back to being a fixed size & damage. Fizz used to have insane lane ganks if you Q'ed a minion and immediately cast R.
