So do you bother upgrading to Frost Queen's Claim?

It's active is decent, and it's certainly more slot-efficient than it's predecessor.

But despite all that, it really doesn't feel like it's worth the resources spent to upgrade it. Often times I feel that my gold is much better off spent buying some other item instead.

So do you both with the item? Or do you just settle with it's 2nd stage and leave it as it is all game till you sell it?

I typically do, because I like the CDR and i'm accustomed to it from item 3069. The active is surprisingly good, with a slowing projectile which is almost as good as a root.

On some champions I use it on, there's also the nice little fact that the upgrade to FQC removes the limit on the passive proc. I could see exchanging it for something like WotA, Zeke's herald or any of the other 10% CDR items out there, but it's cheap enough to upgrade, and it'll still keep getting me the extra gold, and I can sneak CS which no one else would take without losing out on the passive gold+dmg, especially useful if i'm for some reason split pushing a bit with one of the more damage oriented supports (like Lulu).

And again, that active.

(Still, I play mostly co-op vs AI so I wouldn't really know if it's overly worth it in a pvp match)
