You want to know who really lost the game? You and your support.
Before you get angry, you felt that instead of getting dragon you would have rather get Nexus. Now don't get me wrong, you had the right call probably but ultimately you lost the game.
The majority of your teammates, for whatever reason felt that they were not strong enough to take the nexus OR they wanted to keep on playing with their food. Either way, you went against the flow of the team which is something you generally do not want to do.
Imagine it this way. You're the leader. Why are you the leader of these 4 people? Why would you be the leader of anything? Leaders are simply people put in charge because they have better ideas on how to accomplish what the MAJORITY of those being lead want. Nothing else. Sometimes a leader directs the masses but that's because the leader recognizes what the people want when they don't recognize what they want. Something feels right to them about what the leader directs them to do and that's why they follow that leader.
Now, you're the leader of your team, regardless if you want to be or not. In order to be a good leader, you have to go with the majority of the team. If the team wants to take dragon, you have to direct them to accomplish taking that dragon in the best possible way. You can say "Hey, we should take the Nexus instead, we can do it together." But ultimately, you're the leader so you're responsible for the outcome of the actions of the team as a whole.
TL;DR - Stay with the team even if its the wrong call. The cohesion gained from acting as a unit is likely to outweigh the wrongness of the call.
