Can bronze teammates attempt to end any game?

As a member of bronze I have to say some teammates are mindless. Today I was playing a game in which we had scored an ace after getting baron. While im spamming pings to destroy the nexus, saying that I can tank, me and the support head over to end while our allies go do dragon... my face: -_- , Not only did they not get dragon but the enemy team respawned, quickly killed me (the one who was 25-6, or the one who was clearly carrying) and my support. They now rushed down mid lane and wiped out the rest of my team with no difficulty and ended within 30 seconds... How do I get my team to actually want to WIN THE GAME?

You want to know who really lost the game? You and your support.

Before you get angry, you felt that instead of getting dragon you would have rather get Nexus. Now don't get me wrong, you had the right call probably but ultimately you lost the game.

The majority of your teammates, for whatever reason felt that they were not strong enough to take the nexus OR they wanted to keep on playing with their food. Either way, you went against the flow of the team which is something you generally do not want to do.

Imagine it this way. You're the leader. Why are you the leader of these 4 people? Why would you be the leader of anything? Leaders are simply people put in charge because they have better ideas on how to accomplish what the MAJORITY of those being lead want. Nothing else. Sometimes a leader directs the masses but that's because the leader recognizes what the people want when they don't recognize what they want. Something feels right to them about what the leader directs them to do and that's why they follow that leader.

Now, you're the leader of your team, regardless if you want to be or not. In order to be a good leader, you have to go with the majority of the team. If the team wants to take dragon, you have to direct them to accomplish taking that dragon in the best possible way. You can say "Hey, we should take the Nexus instead, we can do it together." But ultimately, you're the leader so you're responsible for the outcome of the actions of the team as a whole.

TL;DR - Stay with the team even if its the wrong call. The cohesion gained from acting as a unit is likely to outweigh the wrongness of the call.

sorry to tell you this but it's basiclly your fault if you're tank and going with a support (who' probably tank too and don't have pushing power) to end the game while seperating from your team. you just have to stick to your team whatever they choose to do even if they are bronze forcing to end a game is the easiest way to lose. i can tell you i won many games just bcz the enemy wanted to force and end the game just by taking the mid inhib

Well if your team mates are not going to work with you, and you want to win, work with them. You made a call that they thought was bad and did not listen to it. You could of pulled off when you saw them going to dragon.

You had the power over your own actions.

Don't go 2v5 to the nexus is your team wont follow.

Had a team refuse to push until we caught up with the enemy team with dragons. Luckily I was trynd and just started power pushing top lane to victory

After spending enough time bronze (and honestly I still am most of the time) I've seen enough counter-aces off of bad attempts to end that I get going for safer objectives.

You and your support rushed to the nexus when you should have gone to drag. I assume you were jung or top given the "I said I could tank" bit. What did you think was gonna happen with just you and the support? At most you should have taken a tower/inhib, or a nexus tower for pressure and left 5-10 seconds before the first threat respawned.

Lol. Sounds like a game of golds. Just stay calm and don't throw. You threw. You saw them not come with you, so why force the issue? Just go do dragon with them. Is it a bad call to do drag? Maybe. But a bad call followed by everyone is better than doing the right call only followed by one.

Edit: This is actually a quote I've heard multiple LCS teams say.

so there is this weird thing that i keep seeing when playing in bronze. my team will take mid inhib turret and we get scared off. they start respawning and we are weak. so we leave recall and regroup. instead of force a team fight at that inhib. everyone decides to group top or bot to take that turret. and then we end up taking the open inhib after that.

wouldn't it be better to secure mid then push a different turret?
