Isn't it time for New Servers?

Tried playing a game this afternoon and MS for me (which has still been in the 100's range for a long time) is sitting around 130+ and then the servers crashed.

Everyone on my team got DC'ed except 1 person and 2 on the enemy side.

I remember back when I started I had like 60 ms and I'm watching players on youtube who are in euw playing on 40. Be nice if they would have dedicated east coast/west coast servers by now instead of band aiding it by having one set mid way in between (when they last moved the servers).

Anyone else agree?

A west coast North American server would be sooo nice so I could get my West Coast ping below 75-100ms. Oh wait, we had one. Once.

Idk i think its your connection/ computer. I play with steady 34-35 ping and 60 fps on the east coast.

I'm in Jacksonville, NC and I get an average 55ms. When the NA server was moved to Chicago, I had 33-39ms for about 3 months. Not sure what changed.

Probably, some throttling/band-width choking by your ISP or another server down the line.

Yeah, that seems very likely. After a bit of research I found that my provider contracts another ISP that has their server about 30 minutes from my house. Outside of that I did a little complaining and they've opted to send me a new modem-router combo and upped my service from 10Mb/s to 25Mb/s for only $5 more per month. =D =D They should be here this coming Monday. I can't wait to test it out.

The problem with comparing the NA and EU servers is just the sheer size difference. Naturally, since NA covers a much wider region the ping will be higher

The problem is that NA has a fairly low population density relative to EUW or Korea, so riot tries to have the best ping for as many people as possible. This is the reason for the Chicago servers. If the servers are on the west coast, the east coast will have 130+ ping and vice versa if servers are on the east coast.
