My ranked winrate is over 50% but somehow my MMR has tanked and I can no longer climb...

This is bullshit.

Last season when I was at 49% winrate I accepted my fate and knew that I would always gain less LP for wins and lose more for losses. But this time I have over 50% winrate and it's still happening.

This is garbage. I know I'm going to get 15 for a win and 20 for a loss. So I'm fucked even though my winrate is over 50%.

This auto tilts me now.

Sucks for the 4 other people on my team.

Fix this, or don't.

I don't care anymore.

I'm in a similar situation, here's part of a post I made a while ago about my situation.

According to op.gg I currently have a 54% winrate, going by that alone I should be climbing and ranking up, even if slowly.

Almost every game I win I gain 17 LP, and almost every game I lose I lose 21 LP. I know because I see those numbers over and over again after every game.

Knowing this I decided to do some math. Lets say I have a 55% winrate over 100 games. 55 wins times 17 LP = + 935 45 loss times 21 LP = - 945

Even with a 55% winrate I would still lose more LP than I gained.

Lets say I have a 60% winrate over 100 games. 60 wins times 17 LP = + 1020 40 loss times 21 LP = - 840

Right now if I managed to get a 60% winrate I would only gain 180 LP over the course of 100 games.

Lets see what would happen if the amount of LP gained and lost per game was both 20 with my current winrate. 54 wins times 20 LP = + 1080 46 loss times 20 LP = - 920

If the amount of LP gained and lost was the same I would gain 160 LP over the course of 100 games. That's almost as much as if I had a 60% winrate right now.

It is, and actually if you drop back to bronze, it is easier to fix your MMR.

Last season I was promoted to gold twice. I went from not being able to win anything to suddenly wow, I have some really good teammates out of absolutely nowhere.

If someone knows how to fix this please tell me?

Do I have to win 10 games in a row against all odds to get back to making gains? Or has the system decided I'm done thus confirming that ELOHELL (LP choke) is real and I'm stuck.

Basically yes, you have to win A LOT in a row to get your normal mmr back. If you can't, you will most likely stay in the same elo or drop.

I'm going to assume ur not the highest elo, and I have the same problem as you. I lose enough lp to overcome the lp I earn and you're going to have to deal with it. I climbed from b5 to b2 and I don't mind me losing a lot. As long as you don't tilt u won't lose as often

I'm gold 5 and I only get 13 a win and 21 for a loss thanks to two days of intentional feeders that were punished by riot yet basically told me that I was sol on the losses they caused..

Maintain the >50% winrate and your mmr will recover.

I just went through an abysmal streak of AFKs/DC's and losing a bunch of games in which I had >50% kill participation yet 0 deaths so my mmr isn't happy right now (starting in my promos to plat and ending demoted to gold 3 was rough beats), but I have faith I'll bounce back. Just need to maintain a good attitude and believe that you really do belong in a higher elo, and if that's reflected in your win rate you'll get there eventually.

The system will force you to drop, and there isn't anything you can do about it other than playing like you're Plat.

This means the game has been giving you easy matches against enemies below your MMR but you're still losing games.

I used to believe this but I don't anymore, or at least the amount of MMR difference isn't significant to be that much a difference in skill level. Either way it's garbage. See the guy's post below yours. That's what makes sense to me now.

And I'm above 50% so it shouldn't be giving me these "easy" games.

EDIT: Sorry, not to say I don't believe that is what's happening. I just don't understand why it's happening with over 50% winrate. The system is basically trying to stymie me like Red Death's post says.

You're above 50% because you happen to be getting more easy games than hard games. Winning an easy game doesn't improve your MMR by much because you're supposed to win against weaker players.

No I was above 50% before this crap started happening. THEN I had a losing streak, but was still (and am) above 50%! And NOW this is happening.

Wait, are you talking about your total wins and losses since you started playing League of Legends? That's a worthless statistic that doesn't give you any insight to your MMR.

Obviously if you go on a losing streak your MMR will drop.

It's actually quite simple. You need to ignore lp gains and losses. They're irrelevant. What matters is your mmr. You can even dodge probably lost games, as it won't affect your mmr. You just need to win more. 55% should do, but it will take you a while. If you can get 60% win ratio consistently, you'll climb in no time. Ignore the LP, focus on winning each game so you don't have to grind 1000 of them.

Yeah... after getting to gold finally with a 55percent win rate I somehow got a losing streak with toxic people, afkers, feeders and me being bad, 15 LPwhen win, -22lp when loss. Have faith getting back, though. I believe in a winning streak after a losing streak :)
