I recently came back after a 8 month break. Zoe used to be pick or ban, and was extremely powerful, as her sleep was basically undodgable (if you dodge it, it expands into a landmine with a larger hitbox) If you are hit by her sleep, her ult+Q would one hit you. I hated her, imo poorly designed champion. But now I haven't seen her AT ALL in about 50 matches. No picks, No bans. Why has Zoe disappeared?
about 50 nerfs, still one shots if she gets ahead slightly
She got nerfed a few times, a little harshly in some places imo. Some of it was needed though. People are learning to play against her (block for the sleeping person, dodge her bubble and her job becomes infinitely harder) and people are realizing she's actually kind of tough to play now.
Zoe is a horribly designed champion that deserves nothing less than what she got. She's still able to straight up 1-shot you, she still has almost no interaction. They just made things slightly more difficult and she got less bullshit from her W drops
Cleansing Drowsy now prevents Sleep and thus the bonus true damage. It’s therefore one of the only debuffs that can be cleansed just because it allows for more intuitive counterplay.
Compare to 
Fear Beyond Death. Cleansing the slow will not remove the debuff.
On the other hand, 
Chum the Waters also detaches the fish if cleansed, I believe.
They are in the process of reworking her kit they said.
No confirmation if she's getting a brand new kit, but Meddler did say they will be changing a lot of her kit to make. So shes getting a bit of a rework. Gameplay at least.
