What do I do as talon when my team won't let me split push?

So over this weekend I've had a ton of "inters" People who type rage all game, and seem to always be behind in lane. I had 3 or 4 games with talon, where I try to splitpush and get picks, but my team won't allow me to split. The last game I played I asked to split and our support was splitting top lane, and our adc was splitting bot. They always died to overextending, and I couldn't do anything with the other 2 mid except throw my W poke and leave. What should I do when people won't let me utilize my champion? How could I have played these games better?

Talon is not a split pusher. Assassins in general are not split pushers. To be a spit pusher, you need to be a champion either with extremely powerful dueling potential-- which forces your enemies to have 2 people go to stop you and leave 3 to fight your 4 allies, or be Singed who is a special case-- since what he does is simply push the minions and build the defense to take up a lot of time and effort to kill.

But it sounds more like you don't know what splitting means. Splitting is not the same as clearing waves. It's dividing the enemy's attention by wholeheartedly pushing a lane opposite the main action. And you should not be doing that as a champion who is supposed to be picking off the enemy's priority targets in team fights.

Huh? Dude, you don't want people to follow you when you split. You want them on the other side of the map so they can take shit when you draw the enemy through pressure.
