New ranked system is a clusterfuck, I think I might quit.

So the new ranked season resets everyone to bronze, either my team is great and say they were gold/diamond plus or like my last two games I have a 1/9 jungle and a 8/29 botlane. It's ridiculously inconsistent RN due to all the mixed MMRS. And people are taking advantage of the new per role system to int/troll when auto-filled.

A lot of people seem really young and are incredibly toxic. Haven't not had to report someone for cussing me out since season started.

The matchmaking system at Riot's LOL does simply not work. It's RNG. Nothing more, nothing less.

PSA I got back into league last season which was ridiculously unbalanced, there was basically a "new OP champ" of the week that was in every game. People have mentioned its still really unstable and I think its worse now.. Riot is now undermining peoples hard work to make em grind more :/

I recall Dynamic Queue was pretty much 'this feature is for boosting, use it', so the MMRs were already fucked up and all over the place for S7. It's still pretty boosty considering you can still duo-Q (ridiculous considering how much this alone can affect a game). FF to S8 and now most of us are reset to trash MMR and we're naturally stuck. The MM system has been fucked up since S7. I think it was fine before then.

Literally no one is trying at all in my games. People just don't care and it's kind of depressing. Not sure if they are just autofilled players not giving a fuck because the new system or people's attitude towards climbing ranked has gone down hill over the years.

Out of 13-14 lobbies so far this season, I've gotten my primary role maybe 3-4 times. I literally don't care about any role other than support and I can no longer get it. Idk if it's the new system but this NEVER happened last season, and now there is no incentive to win games in off roles. Please revert this garbage

I mean... what would be the point in trying when you get autofilled into a lane you don't give a rats ass about?

Let's say the only thing you care about is top and mid and now you are forced to play support, dodging the game nets you in more LP lost than actually losing the game.

So what happens is that the guy picks Darius support and goes full crit so he has a little fun until next game where he tries again.

Give it some time... the season barely started and Riot has to iron out the kinks. If you don't like what's going on with wacky MMRs, then take a break until it sorts itself out.

Honestly, the new positional matchmaking really is not compatible with autofill. If someone gets autofilled, they can just mess around all game and do nothing and it won't hurt them, because they'll only take like a -4 lp hit on their main role/roles. It's so dumb.

I don't think they reset mmr all the way because my first placement game (a loss) put me in gold 4. They definitely equalized things too far though, diamonds and masters show up in Gold and I myself was platinum last season. To anyone who isn't placed yet, I'd highly recommend waiting a couple months for people to return to their correct MMR. I lost 4 with ridiculous feeders and stomped 4 where I was clearly higher rank than the other team or I had a crazy high rank teammate. It's all over the place.

I just looked through all your lost matches, and every player in each game was either bronze or silver in past seasons.

You haven't played a single game in which any player was ever ranked above silver.

They very openly said that if the system doesn't work out they will revert it after the first split. It's something they try, which is why it's only on 2 instead of all servers.
