Interesting begining to the season (at least entertaining on the boards anyways)

I see all these Gold/Plat/Dia players just rage and blow up on the boards about "Trolls everywhere, bads on my team, feeders, afks, (insert excuse here), ruined my placement or make it nearly impossible to climb out of Bronze/Silver."

But if this were mid season and some lowly Bronze or Silver is just blowing off some steam about how they can't seem to get a break. Those same Gold/Plat/Dia players would be telling them to stfu, suck it up, you're exactly where you should be, (insert demoralizing comment here.)

I'm not trying to bash anyone or poke fun. But I have to admit it is kind of funny to watch the reaction to these people rage like they were expecting a different outcome after reading the other 10000000 horror stories of placements.

Plats and golds in silver is as toxic as playing against smurfs. But oh well, what do i expect from a free to play game?

The beginnings of seasons are complete chaos. No one is ever happy. Its really best to wait a month or so before even doing ranked. Let all the chaos subside a bit.

I was Gold 1 at the end of preseason, and I don't really care where I get placed after these 10 games. If it's silver? Big yip, I'm much better than that elo so I'll be able to climb out easily. Believe it or not, I actually WANT to be placed low so I can see how much I've actually improved since the middle of the season last year and I was silver V.

It's not a bad thing... I've had so many afkers, which is the only thing that really bothers me, in my GOLD ranked games, that I'm pretty much immune to having them at this point. Instead of looking at it like it's a life or death situation, look at it like what it is... a games ranking.

I'm seeing more silvers/gold players being dropped than anything. Silvers especially it would seem.

OP is delusional. I have yet to find a discussion in which gold-dia players complaing about baddies, feeders, afks ruining their placements.

The only thing they talk about is how low they were placed regardless of their Season 5 rank or how well they did during placements.

Wanna know a fact? People complaing about baddies, feeders, afks ALL season long.

Plats/Golds who are now in Silver don't play vs Silvers lol. I got placed into Silver II (was Plat V in Season 5) and there is exactly one summoner in my league who has a silver banner on his profile...most are Plat, some are gold.

Isn't that the truth. Or my fav, "Well, even though it took you all last season to climb into X rating, you should be able to do it again in no time at all!" Like, I don't even get this at all lol.

Most people say it takes hundreds of games to get at your "true elo" (not sure how they came up with this number, but k), but then turn around and say "you should be able to climb from silver 5 back to gold in 50 games or less!" I just don't understand people that play this game....
