Happens. Even with hypercarries. It's hard to carry games of you don't have at least 1 fed teammate alongside your self.

Tanky Karma is pretty legit because it means your RW isn't fucking useless. Rylai's + Liandry's burns the whole world while making you impossible to kill except by Rengar. RoA is pretty nice, too.
