@Riot: Why was Kat originally made AP?
This question is (probably) best directed at any OGs from the very beginning stages of the game's creation. I'm curious what led to her being a magician given that she uses daggers to cut through her foes.

she wasnt AP. she had AD and AP ratios to reflect her knives and magic.
She wasn't. She was AD. Q didn't even have an AP ratio originally (just an AD ratio), and W was an AD buff. W+E also gave her dodge chance
She was released at a time where the design of the game was "abilities increase with ability power, attacks increase with attack damage" with only a few exceptions. I think she actually was usually played as AD on release as her passive was a weird active with auto steroids instead of the reset she's known for.
i personally don't remember this very well... but at some point
was core on her when it gave dodge chance. i honestly miss dodge, anyone else?
How high are you right now, no really, just think about how high you think you are right now, and then x10, because an AD Ratioed out Kat with her kit, would be game breaking. Think about, just think about her jump with an AD Ratio, and then the mark with her Q after, all with an AD ratio, and then a crit build/triforce proc, insta dead, repeat because passive gives me my abilities back, penta kill
If she ever gets another VGU she should get some magic partical affects on her projectiles and slight effects on her held daggers.
why does no one ask how face rolling can get penta kills.
because you probably shouldnt have a champion who can gib squishies and then gib their tower afterwards
To be honest, I do prefer Katarina as an AP champion. I find AP itemization (even for a resourceless champion) to be more fun than AD itemization in general.
