Gaining champion shard's and owning all champions

Hextech crafting is one cool feature and the chests are neat but I am not spending cash on a feature that gives me nothing. Even when opening free chests it sucks monkey balls to get champion shards when you got already every champion and there is already a pile of shards just collecting dust.

So please either remove the chance of getting shards from chests if you got all champions or let us trade those shards to yellow essence (if having all champions). You can still buy shards from shop if you want to play with those fancy mastery tokens.

Could this be addressed already?
