And the honor goes to... Who was actually the MVP to You? Idea for more informative honoring screen

When the time for honors comes people usually only remember the last big fight and/or don't take the time to reflect the whole game. Neither does the honor screen give any tools for evaluating the game either. People just remember that ADCs penta and not the daring baron steals, heroic game maker support moves, unflintching frontlines or surgical precise deletions.

To help people remember what kind of heroic stuff other players did, some info tags to the honor window would help. Incase of you yourself getting the award, it shows the badge to the next in line so you still have a clue who was 2nd best. I used for the example the already existing icons to give an idea, first the icon and then what it stands for. See the screenshot for more visual repesentation.

Takedown: Most takedowns in team Revitalize: Most healing done to others Aery: Most shielding done to others Zombie ward: Highest vision score Controller: Highest CC score Demolish: Most damage to objectives Marksman: Most physical damage on enemy champions Mage: Most magical damage on enemy champions Drake/baron: Last hitter of the objective

The idea is shamesly stolen from another tactical videogame. Only positive aspects would be show.

Ps. I know the damage to objectives as it present form does not take account on someone wave clearing and pushing creeps to tower while self making very little damage to objectives but at least it gives an idea.

This might fit MVP systems, but not League's honor system. The system isn't meant to reward players who played well, it's meant to reward players who acted sportsmanlike. That's why the honor categories are GG <3, Stayed Cool and Great Shotcaller, not Most Damage, Best KDA or something similar. It's about behavior, not skill, and that's what I like about it.

Apart from showing the chatlog from each player, there isn't really a way to display the behavior of your teammates on the honor screen.

honor isnt supposed to be meant for who contributed to the game.

its for sportsmanlike behaviour and keeping a positive attitude.

I think that's a great idea. I feel like currently the only people who get recognized is the person with the highest KDA who went around killing everything even if they ignored objectives. This would help to show off other achievements and hard work put in.

The old honour system did seem more fair. Honour multiple players - because who says that only one player deserves honour? Don't feel like you lost something for not giving honour, if you don't feel like it. And honour an enemy teammate, why not?

I noticed recently KDA on the honour screen. (I'm not sure if it's still there.) But I'm ambivalent about that, because, as others mentioned, honour isn't supposed to be about obvious game performance (at least, not necessarily).

the ability to honour one person per game is stupid as it is a team game, working as a team helped you win , at least for the most part. Mind you, they only added this stupid honour system once they added free stuff.

Riot giveth, Rito taketh away.

In China server, there's already a panel showing who tank the most/dps the most/heal the most/MVP over all of the game/etc etc. While Riot still can't fix its client lag.

Yeah I thought the same many times. Often I honour the 8:3:1 dude when there was a 4:1:22 Jungler with more DMG done than everyone else. Or I forgot about that op Baron steal that saves the game.

I've said several times and I will repeat it again, this honor system is uber piece of shit.

Ye, had a game recently as Akali. Highest amount of kills, almost as many assists as supp, ganked bot, took first tower, was there for taking second tower and basically carried early game and contributed heavily the rest of game, 70% kill participation. And everyone honored the Trist adc. Not even Trist honored me. I mean she was important lategame, but i am pretty sure i helped more overall. And I am sure everyone has stories like that. On my Singed main account I almost NEVER get honored. If I OBVIOUSLY carry the whole game, to the point that even the enemy team is saying I should be honored, I barely get 1 honor.

That's nice but I will still give honor always to my supp unless he was an asshole.

I want to have the ability to honor more than one ally again, like when the mid and jungle were really helpful I don't like having to do a hatpull to decide which person I would prefer to honor. If riot wanted to prevent abuse they could cap the honors to 2 players or something, I just want that ability back [cass-cry]

They just need to add and MVP option and keep honor as is. With MVP and Honor unable to go to the same person
