Having a hard time laning against him as a melee AA orientated champ. He's sitting at a 47% win rate so there's definitely something weak about him, but for the sake of me, I can't pin point what it is. Every trade is I go in, he pops his dodge, taunts me into fighting him or he taunts in, pops his dodge and gets free AA.
OurLestrade1 votesHis dueling power comes from empowered Qs, and his cooldowns/energy costs are super punishing if you manage to dodge. Always remember that his energy pool is double that of other energy champions and his costs are massive as well, so if his energy is at half or below he's at a serious tactical disadvantage - it takes a full 40 seconds for him to regen from an empty bar to full.
thefourtysn1 votesSheen is a extremely deadly duelist, but his lack of CC and aoe dmg output is small. You (HAVE) to land your E on champions to be fully effective on Shen. Basically just farm the lane, and try not to fight him or else you'll lose the trade (Riven P.O.V). Shen is tanky, with W (aa cancels) and Q (empowered % hp dmg) So dueling him is gonna be a pain. He lacks mobility only with E and that's about it. Remember don't let him land his Q's on you so it's easier to trade. It's basically a farm game, and who has better rotations. Teamfigihts Shen will get smashed on (without F)

Those champions are the main counter to Shen in the laning phase (And to any other tanks who is not name Gnar in general).
