Be Kind Rewind2 votesMost likely, Riot is foreseeing the massive amount of people that will start playing DJ Sona once she's released, and thus had them adjust her stats somewhat. Was she overpowered? I wouldn't say so. Was she lacking counterplay? Probably. Targeted harass is pretty annoying. Think back to when Zilean was very popular.
Point being: what if they didn't adjust her at all? Suddenly you see her in tons of matches, and have to deal with heavy undodgeable harass all laning-phase. You don't think people would start complaining? What if Riot nerfed her then? Don't you think you'd hear a lot of, "Wow you nerf Sona right after I buy her skin, THANKS RIOT"
