So anyone else remember when Riot intentionally stopped this strat?

Why are we limiting everything so much in terms of what we can/can't do? I really miss having the option to do multiple things. It is a lot of what made this game fun. Most days I'm pretty sure I only play this game because I've been addicted since season 1.

I've seen alot of good friends leave and some of those have even come back... but once they leave for too long they just stay gone. You know why? Alot of the fun of the game is gone. Sure now we have the pro scene. Sure now we have more champions, but I've noticed I've been raging more and more after every season.

Maybe it too is my time to quit.

I've been playing for about 2 years and now the game just doesnt seem as much fun. I used to pay every day multiple games, but this past 2 months I've become less and less interested. I feel like it doesn't matter if I go 10/0 or 0/10, if I was meant to win the game in champ select i will win.

I feel that way too.

Anymore most of the games I have fun with are only because they are so one sided that we just stomp them into the ground.

The 15 minute surrender was even added because games are mostly over by then...

Why don't people do it? Simple. It doesn't work anymore. I often see people complain on why we limit ourselves to having the top and bot laners witch, making me ask them why should we limit ourselves to an inferior strategy. It's like wishing you can fight with a knife when the alternative option is to use a shotgun.

A lot of MOBAS follow similarly assign lanes simply because that's how you get the best results 9.9/10 of the time. But If you want more creative freedom on the laning phase, try DOTA 2. People seem to do whatever the hell they want there, but for reasons I honestly can comprehend.

That was because it created a tower swap meta which was incredibly boring to watch and play.

Every single game consisted of 2v1s in top and bot where rhe 2 would push while the 1 would just afk in xp range. Then the jungler shows up for a 3v1 and the 1 backs off conpletely until the tower falls.

The lane phase was basically completely deleted from the game, that's the phase where players have the most individual expression and style basically turning into nothing but a procedural dance.
