So how does one person having a super buff for 20 minutes help balance anything?

Like seriously what was the balancing team on when they were like,"yeah man lets make rift only spawn once and let whoever gets it keep the buff for 20 freakin minutes man that would be so rad"..... Imagine if Zed got a hold of it Riot... Imagine O.o

"super buff"

It gives 5% damage reduction when alone and a small AA enhancer that has to charge up. Other than that, the only important factor is the minion push, which can be dealt with really easily if you know how to kite and tank waves in order to let the tower take them out.

Sure, this change will probably be abused in lower ELO with lane rotating with teleport, but in higher play it's not that big of a deal.

From what I read is it only works when alone.

So gang up on him. Either it's a free kill 2v1 (he's probably got no one nearby since the buff is active...) and if someone shows up to help his buff is negated?

Honestly, I read it and was severely underwhelmed. Only a select few split pushers (kayle, tryndamere, nasus, basically split pushers with a lot of safety or 1v2+ potential) will be able to make good use of it. That's probably why it persists through death, because the person with it will probably die a few times due to it...

"Super Buff" more like "useless buff", to me got it the first time it showed up, felt like the most useless thing ever and the enemy having maybe 1 kill you made the difference for the buff, I honestly liked older herald it did A LOT MORE and was actually usefull in duels (Cause ma ad), plus minons did more.)

Your mistake is assuming that balance is the motivation for change. It isn't.
