Should I just play bots?

I go play a game and all I see is "GG mid fed first blood. ff@20" "GG they got drag. ff" "did you see me dive the adc?! you noobs can't follow up."

"support, you need to ward more" "but I can only put out 4 wards!" "that's why we need more wards"

3 years ago, I used to be the person who entered a lobby saying "hi guys! how are you?" now I don't I used to enter the Fields of Justice and /all chat "good luck and have fun". now I don't I used to enter the end game lobby and say gg, you guys did great. now I don't

I'm just so depressed now. I don't know.

Might I suggest ARAM? It's about as light hearted as bots, but you're still playing against real people, so you don't fall asleep playing. Honestly, if you're feeling burnt out, you should probably try out all the different modes to see if you like one better, but my vote is for ARAM.

Bot player here. Things are a lot more freeform and friendly in this mode. I tend to see a lot of players de-stressing after a bad set of matches, and help them get pentakills. They tend to feel better after that. Sona

I play a lot of support. Do you know how many mid carries just don't use the trinkets? You know, the free wards they added to take some pressure off jungle and support? Probably 80%.

80% of those vain, arrogant Zeds (and it will always be a Zed) refuse to ward and blame the support for not building enough sightstones to save them from the enemy jungler.

Eh, I prefer ARAM to bots, because it's real people but you can still have fun and people don't usually care as much if you aren't great (I've seen weird builds like AP Aatrox, Tankmo, and AP Miss Fortune recently)

Try ARAM. Also if you can get to high elo normals they're pretty nice and I barely see anyone saying bad stuff there anymore. Problem is all the trouble you have to go through in order to get there.

I just don't talk in game unless somebody is calling me out when they make a mistake. I mute a ton of people. Honestly, this game is so hostile I'm tempted to just write "fuck off" when somebody says "glhf". I don't, mind you.

Communication is the necessary part of the game that will kill you. Play normals, focus on doing what you can for your team to win the game, and ignore the chaff.

PvP is just so damn toxic I can't stand to play it.

PvE doesn't fulfill as many fantasies because you can win in less that 20 minutes, but I'd rather have 20 minutes of actual fun over 40+ min of toxicity.

Its rare for me to have toxic people in a normal game. I do play with 2-3 premade friends so that brings down the chances of toxic people as there only would be two or three randoms at the most. Ranked though? Totally different story, its not uncommon for people to get muted 2 minutes in a game.

The problem with bots is that you never get to feel the gratification of juking/out playing/out skilling another person. You also never get to feel outwitted by an enemy player thats an actual human being. Yes I like to win but when I play games I also dont mind being outplayed by anther person who has a higher skill lvl then me. I learn new things this way sometimes I pick up a new trick or two and have a different appreciation for the champ that I loss to. Anyways feel free to add me for some norms, my friends and I are super nice :) In game name "Bustex".

honestly try playing with friends and you will enjoy it more. They can be hard to find in league but there are good people out there that dont share the toxicity

This thread, among others of it's kind, are a waste of space. People can be mean, and people aern't always nice. This applies to the league of legends, the internet, and the real world. It's a lesson to be learned that not everyone is nice and joyful. This does not mean that you can't be nice.

One thing that I wish is that people were more appreciative of friendly players. Back when I was level 15 I would be nice, people would be nice back, and we would exchange honor. Now I'm nice to people and they don't really care. Since hitting 30 I've probably gotten 10 honor... If one wants people to be nice, that person needs to reward them for it. Give them some encouragement for good sportsmanship. If all we focus on is the bad, then the good people will go unnoticed.

I kinda know what you mean, the trick for me was just to expand my champion pool and try out some new roles, I find if I'm not playing my main there is less pressure since I'm not expecting to carry hard while I'm still learning, though it's always awesome when I do.

It might be better if you could gather an entire group of friends as a team, so you would support each other and not bring each other down, bots probably wouldn't be that much fun tho

And here I am getting all upset with myself because I suck. Don't get depressed because you get matched with idiots. Just ignore them, and keep playing. Or do as TridentSPQR said, and get a team together. Its a f2p game on the internet, there are always going to be idiots. Just gotta accept it and keep trying to better yourself. Honestly, I use them as an example of how not to act in games.

You need to create a good friends list, either add sportsmanlike player after game when there is one in your team, or do as I did, I created a thread explaining I was looking for friends who are nice, respectful and never rage and that I don't care if they are good or bad, it really worked out, almost all of them have been nice so far. You can also search the forum for topics like that and add people. You can add me, I'd be happy to play with you.

Quick question. Did you notice the number of ragers etc. increase whe you stopped saying things like "gl&hf"? I have found that since I started doing that I get fewer. Yes, there are still some, but I think a little positivity towards others and the game in general does go a long way.

I am not suggesting that their raging is your fault in any way, or that you are not friendly in chat. It is not your faiult, it is their's, but you might lower the numbers again with a little more obvious friendliness.

I would suggest ARAM'S, bot games and custom matches/5v5s with friends for a week or two before trying again.

ARAM is fun to get away from all of the broken, hypermobile carrying champs that you literally can't counter in anyway at all (RIP our lord and savior Veigar ) unless you play a champion equally as broken.

You'll still go up against those champions but it's less annoying since you die a few seconds from your spawning point and everyone is more friendly and less competitive. Plus countering mobility is possible in a one lane map.

I play a lot of bots, just to keep my mechanics up and to try out new stuff (also for first win bonus) since I don't play too much. It's pretty meditative, and the people tend to be pretty laid back.

Played since beta, ran qualifiers once (Went 5:5), something like 3k normal matches, and I've switched to playing bots entirely. The lack of hostility and yolo item building is platinum fun.
