Things i expect for Diana IN 2018 (RIOT THIS IS FOR YOU)

https://i.imgur.com/X46B7du.jpg This is an ALL ABOUT DIANA THREAD so Before you start Reading this know that in this post are MY OWN PERSONAL opinions about Diana and the improvements** I BELIEVE** she needs to get to her full potential as a Great champion and not just an 1 shot machine with Amazing splash arts

So..., According to the new video Released by Riot the lead Producer states that Riot Listens Closely to our Feedback and they love to see feedback from players who play the game on a massive scale so as a devoted Diana main here are my 2 cents (Hoping Riot will Read this)

Okay so first things first because i don't want bore you with a very long text In the beginning am gonna outline everything one by one so you can have some basic idea of the topic that will be discussed

First and foremost am going to start this out by saying this "Riot you need to seriously pay some attention to Diana and fix these issues i outline below"

  1. _A MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE UPDATE TO THE IN GAME MODELS ( I'll explain below why with some proof ) _
  2. New voice-lines and Taunts with Leona Taric and Pantheon and other Champions
  3. Bring Moonflair Spellblade Into Summoners Rift item 3170
  4. Revert Her Ult and her Shield DMG back to when Diana was released and buff Her Passive by 5% => (You are buffing Yasuo RIOT so you have no excuse on this)
  5. Make her Ult have AOE DMG
  6. (This is a BIG TOPIC) Since Diana's W (Her shield) is the only defensive mechanism she has available and nothing else make it so that the more enemy champions you have nearby you the higher the AP RATIO OF THE SHIELD AND DMG GETS Or just have the CD of the ability start when i press E not when all orbs Detonate => I'll elaborate further down this thread as to why this needs to become a thing (But if you are a Diana main you already know why)
  7. A Chibi figure to the store along site some Merch like other champions have
  8. A Diana Emote (Because Reasons)
  9. A Legendary and Project Skin

THE REASONS I BELIEVE THE IN GAME MODELS NEED TO BE UPDATED (PROOF)

Riot lets be true to one another for a moment here We this (Pictures Above) IN GAME content you mean to tell me that A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY AND THE #1 MOST PLAYED GAME IN THE WORLD CANT Deliver Better Quality then this? (SERIOUSLY?)

And am just BARELY scratching the surface here Am not even going to mention other body parts or other stances and the fact that she has ZERO facial expressions because i don't want to overfill this post

And before you say anything i will just post this

So yeah i DO BELIEVE she needs a heavy Duty IN GAME UPDATE

THE SHIELD UPDATE

So this topic i believe needs to be addressed because its super frustrating when you main a champion such as Diana that she Is an all in Do or Die champion and you want to kill the ADC in the LATE GAME Team-fight and all the enemy Team Dives you and you have nothing to protect yourself with i mean think about it every other champion in League has some sort of escape like Jump ,Wall, Freeze, Stun or something Diana Has NOTHING she's just an 1 SHOT BURST ASSASSIN that goes in to clear out as many champions as she can and that's it so am like "am okay with that BUT give me something i can sustain myself in 1vs5 situations that i ulted the ADC and the whole team appeared for the bush and i cant escape" So i figured LOWER THE COOL-DOWN AND SCALE THE AP RATIO OF HER SHIELD BASED ON HOW MANY ENEMIES YOU HAVE AROUND YOU WHILE OR BEFORE I USE MY SHIELD OR MAKE THE CD START ONCE I ACTIVATED THE ABILITY NOT WHEN ALL SPHERES DETONATE Think about it Diana is a Diver at her core with no escape abilities (No windwalls no Tornado no Shields building up while doing the most basic thing in the game "moving" NOTHING) just one shield and that's it So according to my thinking and my humble experience with Diana that's the perfect solution i can figure out for her with her current kit

**LASTLY A MESSAGE FOR RIOT **

Please take into concentration what i just outlined here as my overall opinion as a 400k Diana MAIN AND UNDERSTAND THAT DIANA AS A CHAMPION HAS TREMENDOUS POTENTIAL and also PLEASE if you are gong to Create a Legendary skin for Diana Diana please do an event Like Riven and Yasuo had and have Leona Leona as her Rival :) https://i.imgur.com/z6p07FB.jpg

As a Diana main i support everything you have said. Id love to see all these changes. Especially a legendary skin for her and Leona. I really hope riot listens. I have mained her since I started playing almost at 500k exp. I really love this champ and her lore. She deserves everything you mentioned. Diana

No no no please, old Diana main here too. Diana isn't an AP assassin, she's an AP diver. She shouldn't be able to go in and escape, that's her entire job to engage (same as Xin Zhao).

A thought that I had for a long time, maybe if her Q hits more than one person and she dashes with her R, a similar effect to her E gets triggered. Remove her E, and make a new spell out of it (I played her for a long time during last seasons, and I always started levelling E after level 6). Maybe, give her E working the same as Aurelion Sol W (you know, enhancing his passive damage / range), that would be toggled on / off, giving AS and more range for her AA, with a mana cost per attack and an increased range. It would help her cleaning the jungle, and also not making her Nashor's tooth dependant.

Just my thoughts tho, Diana's probably my favourite champ in the game

Also, I do agree that she looks ugly as fuck, even her skins. The only one I think is decent is the Blood moon one (because we don't see her inexpressive face probably). I'm gonna keep the last pictures you posted tho

Strongly Agree Here yes Diana is an AP DIVER at her Core But if you want to classify Diana form the league of legends prespective shes going into the Assasin category as we dont have Diver Class yet

Your thought has some flaws If you remove her E and replace it with a new ability that DOESNT have a pull in and Slow you will have the problem of everyone escaping from your passive that does the most DMG and even if you have enchance her passive ( Geez its already at 80% of your total AP How much more enchancement does it need? :) ) but lets assume your E is an ability that boosts your passive at 95% of your AP on your third AA at high levels everyone will easily be running out of that AA also if by 1/1000 of a chance this happens riot will nerf all other abilities and you will have a Zoe 2.0 one ability for all the DMG

Just my thoughts tho, Diana's probably my favourite champ in the game

Dude her overall IN GAME and Splash Arts havent been updated since 2012 its understandable to be garbage BUT the Champion Itself has TREMENDOUS pontential Keep them they are not mine :)

That is incorrect. We DO have a Diver class. It includes champions like Vi, Xin Zhao, and Wukong. The class sits somewhere between juggernauts and assassins. And as such you sometimes see Assassin-builds work well on them, provided that they can snowball hard enough.

Personally i only play Diana as an assassin i cant imagine Diana any other way not only for the kit that the specific Champion Has but also for the Abilities that i have and also the way that i do DMG

So Basically according to the link you posted Diana is a Diver+Burst Mage+Assassin (Only for the fact on how quickly you can 1 shot someone)

Indeed, well with how her kit works and how feast or famine it can be, she's not healthy for the game as an assassin. She's much better suited to a fighter playstyle that has her trading blows with the enemy and disrupting them.

Either that or she should lose her E and her auto-attack passive in favor of better assassin tools.

But as she is she's terribly unhealthy for the game and the split-personality of her kit needs to be sorted out.

Shouldn't it be Solar Eclipse Diana and Lunar Eclipse Leona, considering the fact that during a solar eclipse you can't see the sun, and during a lunar eclipse you can't see the moon.

I logged in to upvote, because this deserved it lol I hope this gains enough momentum for developer attention (probably won't but I hope it does) I think adding an escape into her kit somehow like being able to R to allies or something like that would place her back into the meta, she just seems to be an all in for ADC type of champion but with all the shields and heals in this meta she's been kicked to the curb since she can't really complete her job anymore. I wish you luck :)

Diana is a Diver shes not suppose to have an escape BUT what she is suppose to have is DMG and Shields

It depends on how you play her you can still do some serious DMG if you time everything just right :)

Dude, you're so passionate about this. It's so nerdy but I respect that, I can be the same way at times. It's cool to see all your ideas and that your speaking out about it. I've played a little Diana here and there, and I agree with what you're saying. I hope Riot does take a look at this because I think most people can agree a visual update is due, your kit changes sound pretty reasonable, and a new voice over would be nice.

Definitely more broken than zoe. I used to main her when she was first released. Stopped playing regularly when they changed her Q etc. Back then she was superstrong, I could see making maybe just those changes, but making her ult AOE as well etc? god damn lol.

I do not dissagree with you yes Diana is superstrong if she is ahead but if she falls back and a wild draven starts attacking her with a malphite and a sej behind him there is really not much you can do there now can you Also the reason for the AOE is because Diana is a Diver with NO ESCAPE ability at least when i go in to a 5 people Dive i want to know that all of my abilities will do dmg to everyone in the area not just 1 person thats my logic behind the AOE

I totally agree with you, I have her only lvl 6 but i still love her! I have the Valkür and Bloodmoon Skin for her and I really don't know which skin ich should choose ingame. Bloodmoon Looks so Amazing in the Splashart but ingame you just want to cry. She really needs a Graphic Design rework. Let's hope riot is going to give this Post some Attention. #Diana MainforLife

I agree wholeheartedly with the item 3170 into summoner's rift. I absolutely love that item, more so than item 3157 . Diana should get a black/yellow solar eclipse legendary, and Leona a black/white lunar eclipse legendary. A kit and visual update is most definitely needed.

A splash and model update would be nice but...i dont think the rest is needed. To me, Diana is in a pretty good place. Ok, in a really good place, I can eat most teams alive and still get killed if I get too cocky. In this current meta and state of game, Diana is balanced.

she still needs work Just Remember they buffed Trynda Yi and Yasuo i believe there is room for Diana as well

Tbh i feel like she just cant keep up with the assassin right now befor the assasin update she was good counter to prety much every ap or ad melle midlaner shes just old her r cd is so long if you compare it to kat who as bunch of resets out of nothing and akali who as 3 of them sur you need to hit q to get a reset but thats so much mana taking a wave using like 3 speel takes half her total mana. Srry bad english i hope you get what i say

I just started playing Diana and the thing that made me spit my coffee was the 80% AP ratio on her 3rd auto. And it's strange that an auto has a higher ratio than any ability. I don't say it's OP or unbalanced or too weak. It's just strange for me (I come from AoE/DoT mages, don't read my opinion, might be idiotic).

Nice and detailed thread but your proposed balance changes are awful.

You preface by saying you don't want her to be a one-shot machine than you ask for all her damage to be turned AoE and scale with enemies so you're pretty much asking for a numbers buff and no gameplay changes.

We don't need even more damage in the game tbh.

Diana needs a way to go in and out like other assasin / mages and more shield and utility to do that.

You're pretty much asking for more burst and aoe in her kit
