So, Ekko has been out almost a week

And we still have 5 QQ threads about him despite the fact that almost no one looks to see what he actually does or how he plays and is still being banned in every game.

His win rate is sitting around 47 percent even in diamond and everything he does is hugely telegraphed. I am even seeing a large amount of flat out misinformation about him.

For example, he is not tanky or resourceless and will go oom using Q too much. R does not work when he is snared in any way. His ap ratios are actually low for a burster and adds more by connecting AA's. He cannot one shot someone with E, what you are seeing is the last proc of his passive go off along with lichbane at the same time. In one game I played my allied Jinx stood there on half hp while the enemy Ekko hit her for 2 passive stacks then used his E to burst and finish her off. Instead of thinking oh shouldn't have let that passive stack they yell out in chat, "wth he one shot me, Ekko OP!"

It saddens me how overwhelmingly the boards just went along with the Ekko OP band wagon. The few people noting his counterplay have been downvoted every time. Try playing as him and against him before making a dozen QQ threads. There are already champions with much stronger abilities than what Ekko does.

The problem is people (me included) jump to conclusion there has been how many champions that have been though of as being: A) To strong at release. B) To weak at release. C) Vel'koz (Most Balanced Champion Ever)

Now lets look at some champions which fell into one area or another:

Bard = B Rek'Sai = A Kallista = A Azir = B Gnar = B Braum = A Vel'Koz = C Yasuo = B Jinx = A Lucian = A

So now looking at that at what people actually thought during the first few days and weeks of the champion release then looking back at them now how many of these would you say is actually accurate? cause honestly for me quiet a few were wrong, (cough Yasuo cough) and have now been made over buffed or over nerfed since there release (again cough Yasuo cough), so people give it time and wait till people learn how to actually play around Ekko and also play as him.

If at the moment you are honestly dying to his R or getting hit by his W, either he did a really good job to get you in them, or your just bad at avoiding them and haven't got use to him yet, i mean come on people you have 3-4 seconds with which you have warning for 2 of his abilities.

I do think that's mostly the problem, that not enough people have gotten used to playing against him, against those that have bought him and been practicing from the start. A lot of them are still poking him with a ten-foot pole.

Just had a game against an Ekko. Having played with and against Ekko a few times, I noticed that I was easily dodging most of his kit and not allowing his ultimate to be used offensively against me. However, my team finds him to be... way too powerful.

I'm starting to think that there are champions easy to pick up, and easy to learn how to play against. Ekko, being an assassin, falls into the former (Bard, for instance, would be in the second. He was easy to learn to play against). He bursts you and you have no idea how he did it, and therefore you do not learn. Once you play him, however, you learn his weaknesses and what he can't do.

Whether or not he needs a nerf, that's not up to me. I think he could use some tweaks here and there, but his actual gameplay rather than numbers is fine.

And would people please move away from the ghost in teamfights? It's not that hard (unless the team is heavy cc, then be very, very careful).

I'm astounded by the number of people who still haven't watched the spotlight and cry he's OP.

Last few games, I've seen people still saying "What does Ekko do? How does that work?" followed up with "I guess I should've watched the spotlight"

Put a little effort into your learning before you claim something is overpowered.
