Why bots in practice mode are pointless

Bots in practice mode don't even do anything. Sure they have had improvements over the past bots versions (like flash and actual complex movesets) but that's all they really can do. They dont use abilities and auto attacks in a functional way. They just sit there. They don't buy items even after you give them multiple pentakills. They don't even have a function to build them the way you want them (if you want a tank Malphite, good luck. All those items will be damage + HP or just damage).

I just wish bots in this mode were better. Something where we can actually test what we are doing rather than here is a meat wall that is underleveled and never buys items.

I played a 60 minute game against a Yi in practice mode. Yi never even got to full build. Even after I gave him 3 pentakills. Just so bad.

I wish bots were like in Mortal Combat where you can make them repeat an action every X seconds.

I just wish they had personalization items. Such as Tank Yi, full damage Malphite, etc. As well as buying items when they have gold and when they back (often times they back or even die and don't ever buy anything).

It's just a problem. I know the bots have the gold because I give them kills. They just never actually do anything with it, hindering my experience and testing. It's an issue.

The small indie company doesn't have the technology and money, poor them, that's why the chance they ever implement that is so low. Technology isn't there yet! /obv s

They buy items if they have money for it... in practice mode you cant "give them" penta kill as you said because its only 1vs1. Just let him farm some 200 minions and when he backs or dies, he will buy something.

But the ability to change their items in practice mode would be perfect. Or atleast have ability to give them 10000 gold or no cooldowns.

The thing is, if I give the enemy bot a pentakill, and they have 70 farm, they shouldn't not have atleast 1 completed item. When you let the enemy get a penta (with turrets in fountain), they still don't buy anything. You see them come back to lane with what you saw them in base with. It's ridiculous.

because its 1v1... you CANT give them pentas. Also with each kill they get less gold because its 1v1 again. Use forward 30sec and wait until they get 200 farm and they will buy when they back.

You cant compare 1vs1 with normal games

You can give the bot a penta though if it's practice mode (which is what this post is about). You just have to revive and teleport to them under tower. Specifically the nexus.

It's not if you could in normal games you shouldnt be able to in practice mode. If I want to give the bot a penta, I dam well should be able to.

They never get to 200 farm. Played a full hour game (longest game time they allow for some reason) with a Yi bot. Never got to 125 farm even though I farmed the jungle all game and made the towers invincible. They won't get there. Not in the time allotted atleast.

You get the same amount of gold whether it's 1v1 or 1v5 or 5v5. It's just the gold is spread out to the team if there is more than one player on the team with the penta.

Try it yourself, if you die without getting kills, you will give less gold to enemy. And they can easily get that farm I only played practice mode 2 times and both times I had my bot with more than 200. Just keep an eye on them while forwarding the game and see if they are getting cs or not.

If I die but have 3 kills, then it should give them more than 50 gold for my death.

Never had it happen to me. No more than 125 CS in a 58 minute game, even when I left them alone.

Maybe because you messed with turrets so the bots attack turret instead of minions

Nope. Everything was standard. Ended the game with all t2 turrets gone. Still not full build or above 125 CS
