Rengar R vs Twitch Q.

The awkward moment when you realize Twitch's Ambush is a better version of Rengar's ultimate.

• Almost same duration. • Almost same bonus movement speed (When near an enemy who can't see twitch anyway). • 130s to 70s Cooldown vs 16s Cooldown • Ambush CD resets for every kill/assist. • Thrill of the Hunt literally warns whole enemy team that Rengar is in stealth near them and even shows who is his nearest target. Meanwhile No way to know if Twitch is in stealth nearby. • Rengar gotta jump into enemy's face anyway. Meanwhile twitch can start attacking without even being in range to be visible and 100 to 0 you before you could even react.

So how does it feel knowing Twitch's basic ability is better than Rengar's Ultimate? :D

B-b-but it gives Rengar a stack when he jumps on you!

I have 1 Gripe with this comparison. They have to be taken at face value on balance versions. Basically, for the abilities to be compared Rengar is an assassin for the comparison since its what he was designed for, and twitch is balanced for the comparison and Twitch is slightly overtuned right now. SO with that in mind.

Assassins kill potential are usually mostly tied to their ultimate cooldowns, this is so that they cant 100-0 you with EVERY rotation of spells. And ADCs usually have some sort of reposition or movement ability to help them survive. With that in mind the comparison becomes a bit fairer. Rengar is SUPPOSED to be able to 100-0 you when he has ult, while twitch is SUPPOSED to use it to sneak up on people in duels/help him escape/etc, he ISNT SUPPOSED to be able to kill your team in 3 autos. Thats a balance issue not an ability issue.

So with all that in mind the abilities are, while similar, slightly more balanced since you are comparing an ADC to an Assassin.

You can't view any one ability in a vacuum.

Compare Rend to Expunge; Rend is just a better version of expunge, but the rest of Kalista's kit is weaker than Twitch, so he is stronger.

Rengar ult is basically Twitch Q, but you can't forget to take into account all the other tools in their kit.

For you DOTA players, Antimage Blink and QuOP Blink are very similar abilities. The main difference is that AM blink is on a melee DPS hero and QuOP blink is on a burst mage.

Twitch is a lategame ADC with stealth so he can position around a team fight and ult. Rengar is a jungler who can use his ult to pick off targets around the map before team fights break out.

Let's not forget the rest of their kits. Rengar's other abilities are strong. W is a cleanse, E is a high damage root, and his passive is a lot of AD. The rest of Twitch's kit is utter trash. Passive does no damage, W slow is miniscule, and E is only good if your opponents were stupid enough to let him attack enough without killing him.

Why don't you compare it to Evelynn's passive while you are at it and I dare you to say she is op now just because her stealth is better.

Can we at least acknowledge that Twitch has not meaningfully (i.e., had a substantive change) since 6.24. In other words, his "overpowered" state is a by product of other champion nerfs in conjunction with item buffs/changes?

TL;DR: [insert champion here] is meta, pls nerf rito.

Twitch's Q allows him to get get in position to pop off his ult and make up for his lack of mobility. Also to be able to get kills with it he needs alot of items. He needs AD, crit, and attack speed to make it effective. Whereas Rengar ult provides a more MS, a huge amount of burst damage, and a tool for actually finding your target.

Rengar's ult allows him to do his job (taking out single targets) anywhere, rather than just around brush. It's also to zone enemies.

Completely different uses.

Not to mention Rengar is now a psuedo-tank diver and not a squishy ADC that can be blown up in a fraction of a second.

Just realize, Riot has kill Rengar, why do you think no old Rengar mains like Choi and Pridestalker are playing him? Because this rework ruined the whole champions design.

It honestly is sad, that Twitch q is better then Rengars ult, yes Rengar does get a stack but on UNIQUE CHAMPION kill and he has to take damage, what the fuck? Lmao, I laughed when I saw that was his new passive.

It's just bullshit, ive put so much time into Rengar and this game, and I'm not having fun anymore. So I think I'll quit for a little bit till they fix this Rengar.

no crit, no leap

Also, rengars ult synergizes with his kit alot. If it wasn't in his kit he would have to walk up to the enemy or wait in bush

"DID HE JUST WALK UP SLOWLY???!"

THis is a terrible comparison.

Both kits are made in a way to make their ults strong in there own way. Might as well say Evelynns passive is better then both of their stealth abilities.

Stupid comparison, without any consideration for each champs kit.

Technically his R gives a gapcloser too. But that's still pretty weak for an ulti so maybe they assume the rest of his kit is strong enough...?

Yeah, I'm sure you can delete people with twitches Q as soon as he gets it. Remgar still has the crit, and boy is it some phat burst damage
