Stage a Protest?

GigglesO··63 votes·16,437 views

Instead of complaining about riot not balancing the games, how about we just use their own system against them. We could protest league without even quitting.

Just ban Yasuo Pyke

Every single games.

Riot already said that if a champion has too high of a banrate they will nerf it.

We hold the balance, if we can just all agree to ban the same champions.

Every time a popular champion gets a new skin, we should just ban them for two weeks straight too.

Lol they are not even nerfing Kai'sa who is pick ban in pro and soloq.

They'd never listen to a stupid protest about champions that are not even overperforming.

SiG DxD1 votes

yet they nerfed Aatrox because he is still high priority for pro players only which is absurd

Mortismo1 votes

ye its completely absurd that hes permabanned in challenger and pro play. really diverse game, go earn your lp like everyone else instead of abusing season 9 champs

AeroWaffle15 votes

The people who would be willing to take part of such a protest is likely already banning those champions.

Not to mentoin he has 50% banrate Iron+ to Plat+ which is already stupid and justifying hard rework, he has been like that for ages and Riot didn't do anything the whole time (because there's equal amount of Yas-skin buying Yas mains in low elo to the amount of frustrated players so why endanger the goldmine that gets skin every damn year) so it's doubtful +5% banrate would suddenly force them to action.

But i already permaban Pyke [sg-janna]

I thought Yasuo and Pyke were already must bans to begin with. Yasuo has certainly been one for years, yet they do nothing.

40% banrate doesn't say so :\

Fair enough, my mistake then.

That's not really a protest that's just how the system works.

They have a history of nerfing champs even if their winrate isn't too high but their pick/ban rate is off the charts.

that seems to only happen if the champion isn't massively popular, just look at Yasuo, has had a high banrate ever since his release and nothing gets done about him

I've been banning Yasuo every single game for 3 years. I doubt anything will change.

AquariusGine4 votes

I already ban Yasuo every game. He's just so annoying, I'd rather deal with someone OP than play against a Yasuo.

Yasuo mains on boards be like, hurr durr, noob bronzies learn to play against Yas.

I don't know about you but I'd rather play against a champ that takes some skill to play over someone like Riven

BR0NZ3 J3SUS3 votes

Thats a good idea, as of right now though I don't really have a problem with many champs

Romans VI XXIII3 votes

RIOT nerfing/buffing based off of ban rate is utter BS. When RIOT posted their data a while back attempting to prove they did this only showed that they didnt, cause there was several champions low on the pole that they wherent buffing.

exactly

A huge portion of the playerbase already quit, even more are quitting and barely any new player is coming into the game. I'd say that pretty much sums up what a protest would be.

just boycott by quitting. nothing will hurt them more than that

I've already kinda quit. just been playing bots for first win for about 4 months now. havent touched a single real game

[sg-soraka] I think doing same.

yasuo's main proble. is the fact that he can makea comeback so fing easy, If you win against him early, he can comeback with only 2 items, wait for a teamfight then q+ulti and boom. 5v5 again. He's scaling well with 2 items. Other than that. don't really have a problem with him.

pyke.. just delete him.

I’m sorry but I’d rather shoot myself than let Malphite go thru banning phase

We just need to ban them for two weeks, then we can go with the malphite/riven ban for two weeks. Just gotta rotate through.

Looking back, two weeks isn't long enough.

I also, thought that this is how the game works. Part of playing is to know which champions are particularly overtuned that match, and make sure that they are banned. After a couple months, when Riot is quite sure that all of the players know who to ban, then they change things up and it starts again. If you start seeing champions double-banned more often than not, then you may hope that they will lose their stigma in the next patch or two.

However, hypercarries may have more immunity.

I don't think high elo players would ever waste their ban on a 44-45% winrate champion at master + tier. Also i consistently win my lane or go even against yasuos (d2 right now, peak master+) The champion is absolutely garbage if you know how to play against him.

(in euw master + yasuo has a banrate barely over 10%, there is so much other champs on a prio ban, like kaisa, yas and pyke are nothing against that bombination of champion)

Ive played this game since before Yas came out

Hes been banned since 2013 and he stays banned now.

[sg-ahri-2] Pyke is already my permabaned champion when I play in bot lane. Pyke got so many best abilities of many different hero from Dota 2 just to himself. It was so unfair while many champions in League so immobile compere to him.

As somone that plays too much league. They cut my games played down from seasons 2-6 from 2-3k games to only 1k in season 8 and 9....

Yea my addiction is a problem, but I'd like to think of myself as the perfect example of how much less enjoyable the game is...

I know, you are not alone. :) All of my friends who playing this game from older times are sharing same opinion with you. I was started in Odyss event in the end of S8 after totally stop Dota 2 so I couldn't understand why my friends were complaining about currently state of LoL but now I can see. Still I have a hope.

I just don't get why they took a nice sustainable game, and were like:

You know what, lets just fuck all balance, and make it flashy. Thats what attracts people, and keeps them, not a fun balanced smooth game, but just flashy shit.

While we are at it, lets also talk about how the pros are so important even though we repeatedly say we never make enough money off of the events to even pay for the events.

I mean I understand making money off of cool edgy things, but that doesn't mean they have to be soooo obviously stronger.

They can't attract more player if they shape the game around pro players because it will ruin public games so this two things are totally opposite. Best example is Dota 2, thats why it has less player base than League and I don't think Dota is making more money than League by this.

Also the launcher is so bad, it is freezing just after clicking my blocklist I had to restart it every time. :D

Yasuo isn't getting nerf even with a high ban rate in low elo.

That is because their criteria is like 75% -80% banrate.

20 Millions playing LoL

Yeah that will work for sure

Both kinda suck tbh

Frontline tank matters ...

At least in plat...

Also if they pick Pyke and don’t ban morg it’s an auto win

Honestly, I only support this just to actually see if they will actually get nerfed if people decide to ban these champions every game. Be hilarious if they didn't

I just want the community to actually agree to make the game better. It doesn't even really matter who we agree needs nerfs, as long as we can get an agreement going.

Yasuo's Winrate goes lower and lower the higher the elo. Instead of complaing about a non broken champ 24/7 lets complain about the needless Riven and fiora buffs next patch?

Spooky Skeleton1 votes

Can't do that. I can't ban Yasuo, Pyke, Akali, Rakan, Riven, Zoe, Yuumi, Kai'sa, Qiyana, Kha'Zix, Zed, etc. There's just way too much shit to ban these days.

ZaFishbone1 votes

Sure, your team can go ahead an ban those 2, and Riven for good measure, and I'll just use one of those apps that tells me ur fav champs and ban those.

Every single games.

Wait, I thought that was already the case… Or maybe, could the boards have been…(gasp) overreacting?

yeah great idea, im sure with this movement Yasuo and Pyke banrates will rise by 0.0003%

Kovorix1 votes

Not like they have an absurdly high banrate anyway.

but... but... yasuo is always the highest banrate pretty much since months lol.

Yasuo isn't even a fucking problem, yall just bitch and moan about something you can fix yourself by learning matchups. neither is Pyke.

Dukues1 votes

But I have to ban Zed .... Not going to play mid if zed up as he is always picked....

They just don't care, even after having lost so many players in only 2 seasons.
