Any Tips on playing Nidalee

This might sound really stupid but I play League with a trackpad on a laptop (and if that didn't makee you instantly barf), I also play with one hand, long story short I had a stroke and I'm slowly getting better :D. I've been trying to pick up champs that require effort to play and Nidalee is one of them. I can hardly say that I'm even remotely good with her but I feel she get stomped on by quite a few champs e.g Akali Leblanc Irelia MasterYi the list goes on... I just don't understand how I should be playing her, and fighting in minion waves is too much of a hassle since her q is where her main source of damage comes from. I need tips and clarification on how her q damage works especially, (does it deal more damage from the distance from where it is thrown or how far away from Nidalee it is?). Along with how I should play against champions that counter how Nidalee's kit is designed to work since I enjoy playing her in lane compared to jungle as I can't play free cam given the one handed thing :/

Sorry about your stroke and its complications. :( Lane Nidalee is significantly weaker than jungle Nidalee, but that being said it can work but you should try to roam as much as possible. Her Javelin Toss (Human-Form Q) gains increased damage based on range, so try to spam spears, but be mindful of your mana, and if you hit one, or have poked the enemy down, try to instantly jump in, assuming it's safe, because the hunted debuff grants insane cougar form power. Try to wait for a minion to die, and right after it dies throw a spear behind it, this will catch the enemy off guard. Keep the side brushes bushwhacked, and before you roam use cougar form to push out the lane.

I have a bro who lost most of his left hand because of a job accident. He got a gaming mouse and uses hotkeys and smart cast on that, Before he pretty much only played pretty simple champs like Garen Singed Volibear DrMundo Nasus as he was unable to spell cast rapidly enough for more complex champs. So Id say mechanically just work on spear accuracy, knowing what walls you can pounce over and how far you can do that, and if you can get a mouse with hotkeys it will help with 1 handed play.
