@RIOT: Could you please stop adding new stuff until you balanced what already exists?

Seriously, I love every new thing you add, but please... focus on balancing the game for a change.

Half of the Item pool could as well be deleted and noone would notice, because the items are garbage. Actually, no its not even that these Items are Garbage, ist just that for some reason RIOT decided to just overload some items for no reason so that you could do everything with one build. Why would you want an Attack speed item, when you can get one with Attack speed, dmg, crit and CDR instead?

Half of the Champion pool barely sees any play, hell, like 80% of them never see competitive play. And this is the same problem as with the items: Some Champions are just plain overloaded with stuff. Hell, why do some Champions have 2 or even 3 passives at once? Thats BS! One Champion should have one passive.

There are clear best picks right now, no mater what the enemy team looks like, just because some Champions have an insane power level...

This game has so many issues, it would take all of RIOTs available ressources at least a year to call it somewhat balanced.

So please, just start already.

Riot will never completely balance the game.

Because their mission is change for the sake of change to keep things fresh. The more they change and the more they add, the harder everything gets to balance. It's a never ending cycle. The most balanced form of league, will be league with no champions in it

It's the level of how imbalanced it is that is bewildering. If I coulda dropped a season 4 player into season 8 i cant imagine how many would nope the fuck out.

A competitive game being completely balanced is generally speaking bad for the players, tic tac to is considered a lesser game then Chess, Go or Catan in part because it's more balanced.

What baffles me is Riot didn't nerf Kai'Sa and Ezreal initially in the latest patch. What level of foresight do they have? A bunch of item changes that don't change the most broken champions, and you don't think to nerf these champions who should already be nerfed regardless of this item change???

I'd love to know Riot's explanation for why two blatantly overpowered champions didn't get nerfed this patch and last patch. The data is out there for everyone to see.

Kai'sa is as bad as Zoe honestly. The goal was to make a risky pick in the same line as Vayne. Instead they created this monster who spikes off of one item, Guinsoos and just becomes a hard carry 15 minutes into the game.

Zoe yes horrible design but not kaisa. She was actually garbage on release and they MASSIVELY buffed her. Only to give her very minor love taps.

Im not saying shes strong or weak, just that the they completely failed in their intention of the type of champ they wanted to make. Design is super cool.

I'd agree with you except if they nerf the only two viable ADCs, there will literally be no point to playing an ADC; ADC's are awful to play right now and there aren't any outside of Kai'sa and Ezreal who are viable.

The role is called bot lane. Marksman have always been so broken that even when marksman are bad they still make up 98% of bot lane carry picks. I assure you Kai and EZ aren't the only 2 viable ADCs.

Well 1) riot's live design team doesn't know what's happening, so they couldn't fix league if they tried and 2) I think deep down they know this game is finished, so they're just using the time to pad their resumes with garbage projects like "I made pyke!!!!!" or "I reworked AD items at league!!!!!!".

Most of the items do see use, and most champs do see competative play.

Also, adding things is a part of balancing.

In ranked maybe. It's not Riot's fault the playerbase is so enslaved by meta that anything different almost invites hostility from your own team in ranked.

The problem is that the meta champions have just way mor epower at their disposal. Sure, you can do well with them and do your part in the team, but with another pick and the same effort, you would have solo carried...

Or, you could play Normals and choose whatever champions you want to have fun. Ranked isn't about fun, it's about winning. Ranked is always going to be, "Take the optimal strategy" and the professional scene of basically anything will always be that path.

That means there will always be a "best" pick. There will always be a champion that does the most damage with the least counters, there will always be the longest CC that's easiest to apply, or the hardest-to-kill champion that can function without a team, etc. And those will inherently be the champion pool for pros.

There is no magic, "Everyone will be balanced" formula. At best you can have goals and aim to keep to them. If that means constant pushes back and forth, then that's what Riot does.
