It needs an update, sure, but it needs some fundamental changes to be more accurate first. I can't count the number of times it's listed me as assisting in my own death or some other bug.
Improvements needed:
- Throw out which ability did how much damage. It doesn't matter if 300 magic damage was done by ability A, 200 magic damage by ability B, and 100 magic damage by ability C, it matters that you took 600 magic damage. If I recall previous Red posts on the subject this breakdown is where most of the bugs in the current recap are: trying to show which ability did how much damage.
- It needs to be more clear how much damage (and type) you took that life vs how much damage was dealt by who got kill credit on you.
- CC applied and by what.
- Short replay video of the death so you can piece together what you did wrong.
- Ability to review the recap after you've respawned. Before you can figure out how you died to a new/reworked champion at level 2 the recap is gone. That needs to change.
