@QuinnMains What Are Counters to Top Lane Quinn? How Would a Quinn Deal With Them?

Weathered··1 votes·818 views

I recently bought Quinn and have been primarily using her top. I'm even more intrigued because I've found I can counter Fiora hard by just aa harassing and backing up when the vital is in front of me. What are some big counters to Quinn in the top lane and how can I deal with those counters if they pop up? I assume Shen could work, since he most builds armor and has a taunt/gap closer. I've only found trouble when enemies all in me and still have enough gap closing to continue after my E.

I just shit on Quinn with every champion I use top lane which is mostly renekton but renekton shits on everyone.

quinn is one of those slippery adcs that can be played top simply because she's ranged. The thing is, most tanks up there will lose lane to you, but farm under tower and just outscale you. Quinn has to win lane hard and then roam and win mid to help snowball the game as fast as possible.

I have to say, the roams are awesome and you can just push out lane and get a kill mid almost every time you go to lane. It's also fun clearing two lanes at once if your mid is gone using your ult ^.^

yeah, those are her strengths. her weakness is you have an adc top lane so you need tankiness from elsewhere. Being a low range adc is terrifying if you dont have a tank on the team. At that point it doesnt matter if you win lane, they can outscale and outfight you.

Leblanc Ryze Pantheon Renekton Malphite

item 3155 helps with a few of them, item 3047 for panth and renekton, item 3812 can help you against burst and allow you to sustain up a bit. item 3139 can also be very helpful. If you have the rune paged to do so then making a specific page for each damage type will make it a lot easier.

Thankfully you don't see a ton of Leblanc Ryze Pantheon tops in this patch. How is Malphite a problem? Wouldn't you just be able to kite and aa him early and then snowball lane hard enough so that he isnt a problem till very late game?

Malphite can slow your move speed and attack speed, while gaining his own movespeed, makes him harder to kite, he also gets a pretty decent amount of damage from building pure armor, and his ult needs no introduction. he can be beaten but it's more difficult than a lot of other matchups.

My opinion on beating Quinn, besides getting good ganks or be really good at Renekton, and shit on her harder than Rito has shat on the ORIGINAL Last Whisper, practice Poopy (get the pun?).
Play passively at 1st because if she starts vault, she can easily proc Thunderlords on your ass every time she can. Rely on your passive to get the shield and stay behind or really close to minions to block her Q and let minions wail on her if she gets too aggressive early game. Just stack armor and health and then outscale her later; becomes a lot easier if you have a jungler that can either stop her from escaping or HARD CC her. If she ever looks like she is about to vault into your face and you're pretty low on everything, Steadfats Presence or a super well timed Heroic Charge does prevent her from jumping away from you (I found that out a VERY HARD way). Oddly enough, Iceborn Gauntlet gives you a very decent ability to fisting her hard if she gets a bit cocky. Use terrain to your advantage, she can't retaliate if you managed to smack her into a wall. And lastly, pray your jungler isn't something useless like a Teemo with no summoner 11 .

Ya, I had a game against another top quinn in which I was dominating. The other team had a jg Rammus tho that ganked 4 times. 3 of them the rammus got the kill, so I couldnt snowball super hard :/ although their quinn was still 2 lvls behind.

MonkeyKing is like, the hardest counter available to her. You can do ok against him pre-6, but at level 6 and beyond, he just destroys you, between the gapcloser, knock-up and general level of damage.
