Gold 1 filled with boosters?

So i have had no trouble climbing from gold 5 to gold 1 im not saying i won every game but i won atleast 70% and the losses were understandable exept for maybe 1 or 2 where people dc'd. HOWEVER one i hit gold 1 it has become a shit show. i get atleast 2 people on my team who i swear to god have never played this game. im talking like a teamate fighting another person in jungle about 5 second distance from you pinging for assistant constantly but they are beyond oblvious. its incredible how often i have come across these players in gold 1 its unreal. is this the boosting benchmark that people go to and then stop? i thought i could get to plat this season maybe even diamond if i kept it up and kept improving on my mistakes. but when you get an ezreal whose getting 2v2 dived and instead of fighting back just tries running away when it was easily in their favour i just... idk is anyone having this issue in gold 1 or is it just me?

Am i just having bad luck with these booster teamates?

Played a game the other day and i swear my annie had boosted she was soo derpy. Im plat 4 but ive lost my fair share lately.. So i think a few ppl might of boosted to plat 5 personally.. idk i havnt played a lot recently been busy.

I have that same issue in Plat 5. I've seen better players in Bronze than some of the Plats I play with.

I don't think it's necessarily boosted people, so much as gold 1 elo is filled with awful plat 5's who are salty that they can't climb further (or don't care to try).

My own experiences with gold 1 and even plat promos has been a bunch of diamond bordered people who ultimately ragequit as soon as someone misses a skillshot and are generally terrible people who I presume are salty they can't make diamond this season.

That said, I'm pretty sure it's along those lines at every tier border for similar reasons, so the bronze 1->silver 5 hurdle is as much of a pain as the silver 1->gold 5, plat 1->diamond 5, etc. hurdles.
